Fiverr Advice

Over the past week, I have decided to begin making a small amount of cash in my spare time with fiverr. It started off quite smoothly, however I have noticed that suddenly I have stopped receiving orders. In total I have two orders, both who have given me positive feedback, but no more orders have been purchased. My gigs are associated with reviewing, article/content writing, and web design; all of which I believe I have a strong knowledge in, especially at such a low cost. I'm not saying I'm trying to make some sort of living off of fiverr, but I'd like to earn small amounts just to begin my online journey. $8 in a week does not suffice, but I do appreciate it nevertheless.

If you were to give three tips when it comes to creating a gig, what would they be?

Do the more gigs you create necessarily mean the more purchases you receive?

    Why don't you try promote your Fiverr gig in any SEO, web design, internet or affiliate marketing forums through your signature? You can even promote it through writing articles and submit it to top tier article directories. In that way, you might potentially be increasing more hits and traffic, and even sales too.

    Would I be breaking any rules if I were to post my Fiverr gig(s) in my signature? It mentions no affiliate links, and am not sure if this would fall under that category.

      Personally I wouldn't consider a link to your fiverr gigs as affiliate links.
      Maybe ask one of the mods here.

    I changed my signature, but I am unable to view it here. It could possibly be a settings issue, or something else I'm unaware of. Nonetheless, if you guys are unable to see it, and it does happen to break a rule, I'd be more than happy to remove it myself, or have it removed.

    Two things:
    1. You need to add more gigs. You should try and fill out the twenty gigs allowed as much as possible.
    2. You should vary the descriptions of your gigs so that you can really add the same gig twice, but marketed in a different way.
    oh and
    3. You need to market your gigs (check my latest blog post on here for info on how I do it - not to say I am an expert, but just to show possibilities of what you can do).
    Oh and sorry for making this post dyslexic at this point, but
    4. Make sure once you get to level 2 that you use your gig extras to cross sell your other gigs.

    The things I would concentrate on with immediate effect are as follows -

    Video - Create a video for your gig(s), as customers prefer a visual aspect and you should enjoy more orders.

    Promotion - Open up a fiverr ticket and ask the editorial tem to give your gig a push. If you have a video then, they're more likely to give your jobs a push, as they like videos at fiverr.

    Description - Make your gig stand out with an eyecatching description and be clear on what it is you're offering.

    Keywords - Make sure you use the right keywords relating to your gig and that's it's in the right category.

    Time - Going forward you should be aiming to complete any task in less than 20 minutes or you'll be working for less than the minumum wage. Time is money!

    # Creating more gigs will give you more leverage towards future orders, but doesn't guarantee a busier order book.

    I put up a video last night, but still haven't got any more purchases. It generally takes me 10-20 minutes to write each review, and I will begin as soon as I receive the purchase.

    One of my gigs is express, which means it will be delivered in < 24 hours.

    1) Pick gigs that are hot and quick, as in being in high demand, yet easy to complete in 15-20 minutes max.

    2) Keyword all your gigs, as in research the best keywords with low SEO competition when wording your gig titles and descriptions. This will allow you to use SEO to rank your gig urls for the keywords, or a site/blog you create to promote them.

    3) You could consider reposting your gigs on selected clone sites, to 'get the rest of the money on the table,' and to earn across the micro-gig field under the same 'brand name' (your unique user name). Use the same name and email for all the sites, and use your email to keep track of orders. This will increase visibility and notoriety of your brand and make it easier for satisfied clients to find you off Fiverr, should you promote your user name as a keyword elsewhere on the web.

    The more gigs that you have do not mean more purchases. A good way to stand out in Fiverr as a newbie is to offer creative & unique gigs.

    Another way to stand out is to promote yourself as a girl with girl images and username. I don't know why but girls tend to make more sales than guys.
