Hey,
I recently started with a "project" on Fiverr & yesterday, I got promoted to Level 2 (19 hours ago). It took me 48 hours to reach level 1 and 30 days to get the Level 2 status.

I'm always interested in finding ways to make money on Fiverr & I've tried tons of things before.. Most of them have been failures but some of them has been a huge success. (Success in my own opinion.)

I've made more than $200 as we speak and I got 3 new orders the minute I got promoted to Level 2. The best thing is, that I spend about 2 minutes per order I get, since I'm not the one doing the work.

I only offer 1 service on Fiverr and that's the only service I've had with this account. The first orders where the hardest ones to get. I suppose it always is. I only used Free methods to promote my gig and to get the traffic. The service itself has a clean title and a simple yet effective description.

I don't have a unique service and my service is actually quite bad related to many others.. So why is my gig a "success"?

Mainly, because I where the one who got the traffic to the service in the first place. I used Facebook groups & twitter mostly.

I've also used Addmefast, where I purchased an account containing points and offered people points for doing a tweet of mine. I just copied the tweet from my own listing, where it says "WOW! get this and that etc. on #Fiverr"

The Addmefast account cost me $5 and it took some time posting in all the facebook groups.. But that's all I did.

So,
My answer to your question is:
-Addmefast. (Let others promote your servivce.)
-Facebook. (Post into groups.)
-Twitter. (Tweet on your on account.)

That's easy, it's free (besides the addmefast account if you buy one) and it works!

See my signature, this is a targeted audience needing service, I do about $500 a month just on fiverr, I use this to get customers for higher quality seo and video services where I make about 5 times what I make a month on fiverr.

Also create videos to drive traffic to your gig, the more you are outside promoting your gig the more people will find and buy your gig.

Try offering a special early bird discount to get that first sale and everything should be in momentum. For example, instead of offering 1 hour of virtual assistant, you could give 2 hours of virtual assistant service for the first 3 buyers only. That would entice people to buy your gigs. Also, add a video to your gig so that you can have more exposure.

Well... you can either get alot of buyers for $5, or..... get 1 buyer for $100. It's all relative. My advice would be to start your own site and start selling products for high prices, so that you can work less, play more, and market smart.

I've had success on Fivvr by posting and staying engaged in facebook groups related to my service. I design book covers, so going through all the writers groups on facebook(yes theres a lot of them) and posting something about the service, has really helped increase my sales.

I've personally had a lot of success in shooting youtube videos with a link to my gig in the video description. The videos usually outline the importance of my specific gig/service on fiverr and then I give the viewer the opportunity to check it out with my link.

I find video marketing to be the most powerful tool!

It's only need effort to get some initial sales and bunch of good reviews for your gig. Once your gig get some good reviews you will get a good amount of sales from fiverr traffic.

To get some initial sales promote your gigs on targeted facebook groups. Do some paid advertising for first 1-2 month till you get 20-25 first sales. Also you can open own facebook page for your fiverr gigs and promote them there. It also works good.

Well you dont need to promote your GIG elsewhere, since Fiverr its one of the biggest traffic source and highly targeted.

What you need is to optimize your gig as i state below:

first make a video about your GIG, because GIGs with Videos rank much faster and higher then non Video GIGs.

Secondly: check what are your competitors tags and make similar tags

Thirdly: Ask a friend of yours to buy your gig and leave a review, after that point your gig will rank to first page (if it has a video).

At that point i believe you will start to sell if the gig offers more then the competition.
Give some samples so potential buyers can check your work quality.

- Fiverr Forum
- Create a free blogger and write about your

When you go to the Fiverr forum, look for other members there who have created posts linking to their own Fiverr services. There should be a place on the forum where this is allowed. If you see that many other members there on the Fiverr forum are linking to their services, then it is most likely acceptable to do for all. Otherwise, those posts would have already been removed.

You can implement some internet marketing strategies to drive targeted traffic to your gigs.

You can do a bit of article marketing, video marketing, social media marketing, blogging, SEO, etc.

Depending on what your services are, you could also use free classified ads to promote. Craigslist can be a great source for free targeted traffic for services.

Another good way to drive free traffic is with Video Marketing. You can create a Youtube Channel - record videos talking about your services and how good they are every day, then simply promote the heck out of your videos!

It will be a process but the right internet marketing strategies can really pay off on the long run!

I see a lot of good advice here. I always wanted to start a fivver business but I feared that I would get no orders without prior customer testimonials.

But the advice hear makes perfect sense. Promoting you gig to people away from fivver will get you your first clients and as your gig count goes up...You should be able to get more clients from people who are browser the fiverr marketplace.

of course, you can promote your fiverr gig outside of fiverr to any forum or social groups.

but before doing that, you should first consider the gig itself, some point is very good for a newbie:

1. install app on your smart phone, try to communicate with your customer's question within 1 hours, unless you are in bed.

2. offer special promotion to get to level 1 or 2, like buy 1 gig get 1 gig free.

3. in a fix price market, seller can either stand out with SPEED or QUALITY, this mean you have to do super fast delivery (5 hours turnaround) and always over delivery(5 intro-video, but deliver 6)

4. politely ask buyer to give you feedback after delivery and always ask buyer if they enjoy your delivery or what you can do better for them. this way your rating will be much higher.

5. UNIQUE gig? not really, what you can do is: find the hot selling niche, offer your gig to a higher standard quality, remember not quantity! QUALITY always a five star.

IF you decide to go outside of fiverr to promote your gig, following tips is worked for me:

1. choose the targeted group to promote the specific gig, although let your friend to promote in your friend's group is a good idea, but you should always looking for new social groups and take the control in your hand, not only can save you time, also it will increase conversion rates.

2. promote your gig that can be used for any business, like video intro or business card design, then you can promote it via youtube or promote to your local business area.

and insert a signature
with your gigs link
answer 20 questions
daily, i ensure you will

and orders of fiverr

If you already have buyers, contact them and give them an incentive to come back.
When i started on Fiverr I had promotions were i would provide a free gig if they ordered 4, or they refered my a new client.
Additionally leverage your social media account and friends. I used facebook, twitter and my friends to promote my gigs and that worked pretty well.

establish deals with other fiverr sellers that have gigs that complement what you offer.

I had roughly 10 or so fiverr sellers bringing me business on a regular basis.

Youtube! you can use this amazing ressource to attract clients. Do you have client testimonials? Shoot a youtube video and link to your fiverr account.

Provide excellent customer service.

implement all these on your fiverr account or your own website, you'll be rolling in orders before you know it... who knows maybe you'll also end up hiring staff or outsourcing your gigs as well :-)

example:
