How to find out owner of site?

How does one find the owner of the site?

I have a hosting and have several sites. One of the sites deals with somewhat a taboo topic (dating) and I do not want it to be associated with the other sites. What are the ways people can link the owners of the site?

Would it better to get a new host new account?

    Try whois.net and if the owner is hiding behind a private service then lots of luck.

    @mguy:
    What you need to do, in order to avoid people making a connection between your "Taboo Site" and your Regular sites, is to enable Whois Privacy for that questionable Domain Name.

    Most Domain registrars offer this type of protection.
    It is often available at a low yearly cost (~$3.00), while some registrars will offer you free Whois Privacy (a Promo Code may be needed).

    This will prevent others from seeing your contact information, when they do a Whois search of your website.

    With Whois Privacy enabled or not... people can still see your Domain's Name Servers however.
    This should not be much of a worry, because if you are using a Shared Server, then 100's or 1000's of other Domains will share the same Nameservers.

    If you are using a Dedicated Server however, then someone who REALLY wants to track you down, may be able to make the connection between your Taboo Site and the others.

      If you're on shared hosting then you really shouldn't have any worries, but on a dedicated server it would be pretty simple to track down which domain resolve to the same hostname, even if they were all on dedicated IPs.

    Finding the owner of the site is very easy with the help of WhoisXY.com where you can get information like owner of the domain,address,contact no etc...
    for your kind information if the domain is registered under privacy collecting the whois information is little difficult.

      Very simple, I go to godaddy.com and do a whois search. 70% of the time, I find who the owner of that site is.

      Good luck
