Hey there fellow Warriors,

I've got one big question. It's a big question for me atleast.. LOL .. So here goes..

When you open a WSO,

What if your website is a membership site? Will it convert? Will people buy your membership through the WSO.. It has better conversion than direct downloads?

I would like to hear from the pro's here..

Yup of course one time payment was what i was referring to. But a direct download as a rar package or a membership area where you can download is better ? Anyone would like to help me regarding this?

Since you put your question so simply A or B, I'd choose to download my info and be done with it.... rather than keeping track of another username and password in a membership.

I also prefer one-time payments for membership and if they do have downloads, I try and download all of them right away before something happens. LOL!

    Membership.

The reason I say this is because:

    1. You can provide automated password retrieval (cuts down on "my computer crashed" customer service).
    2. You can provide udpates and additional content.
    3. You can provide affiliate links and affiliate tools.
    4. You can make your site more sticky and use additional content to make more offers and recommendations.

If you are running a membership site, I highly recommend getting Mike Filsaime's Butterfly Marketing script -- which is a very underrated membership script in my opinion.

People build membership site in hope for recurring income (even if your site is only a one-time sale) and continuity.

Here's what I usually do. Get people to buy my product. Redirect them into my membership site where they need to join as a member to download the product.

After they became my membership site's members, I will send them an affiliate link so that they can promote my product.

That's just the tip of the iceberg though. My brain is not working well today. LOL

Desmond and Josh are giving good advice.

You want a membership area. Specifically one like BFM, RapidActionProfits with MemberAddon (and maybe Mass Pay plugin) or SimpleMemberPro that lets you sell the product, offer a OTO right after, let them become affiliates and contact them via an email system of some kind.

Why? Because you can email them when there are updates or "special" bonuses and they log in, see another OTO or banner/ad and download the update. Boom...more sales. You can do this continually.

I'm in the process of converting my products to this method.

Good Point , but what is an OTO ? Did you mean updates ? Will I lose buyers if they were to choose membership instead of direct download ? Or Do I get more ?
