Can someone please answer this about doing a CB launch?

I am setting up to do a CB launch. Im going to try and get a bunch of affiliates onboard. Before I do this I must test my conversion rates and try to get my sales page optimized for the highest conversions before the launch. My question is this. How can I test my product while it is on CB before the launch? I want to use CB as my processor but once I put it on CB to do the tests wont other people be able to see/promote it thus interfearing with my launch at a later date?

I always test outside of CB first. I often set it up on eJunkie to test out what works without affiliates.

Test it with PayPal if you think it's a problem but don't let this hold up your preparations. Besides, someone may come across it on PayPal too. I don't think that would ruin your launch though.

I mean it's kind of a circular argument: you don't want anyone to see it or promote or buy it until the launch so as not to interfere with the launch but then again you want a bunch of people to see it and buy it to get your conversion rates up so you can do your launch.

You can elect, temporarily, to "whitelist" affiliates, if you want. If you do that, nobody else will be able to get a hoplink and promote it, until you're ready to launch (when you change that), but you can be in contact with anyone who asks for one. I'm not sure if it's a perfect solution, though, because in theory it could possibly put off some affiliates who might then not return later(?). But explaining it clearly in your Marketplace listing, vendor spotlight page and affiliates' page presumably resolves that?

Having another sales page, outside ClickBank, is perhaps not an optimal approach, for all the reasons explained here. The problem is that the few affiliates potentially lost, that way, could easily be the exact ones most able to sell the product (and there are genuine reasons for that actually being quite likely).

Thanks that sounds like the easiest solution. How do you do that?

Ya it is a circular argument. I really dont want to test it with PP. I would like to keep it with CB.
