Ok ive been posting on the niche forums with my signature for 4 months and only got 1000 posts and im wondering how much you make from your post on average.

like $1 a post?
$2 a post?

Sorry the questions confusing, do you mean how much you charge others to post for you? Or how much you make from 1 offer that's promoted through a signature in a niche forum?

I'd be interested in the later question and gauge the overall level of success from people utilizing this strategy. I attempted it a while ago and it fizzled, just not enough traffic to make anything decent.

Averages like this are meaningless. There are way too many variables which you can't control.

Size and activity of the forum, how signatures are regarded in that community, your own reputation in that community, how well your posts fit, and so on.

Even within a forum, some posts will get you a bunch of exposures/visitors, others plenty of exposures with few visitors; some will simply sink into oblivion, unnoticed.

Yeah i have 1000 post, with my signature, going to my link, im just wondering how much traffic people get from your post and how well its convering and how much on average have you made per post.

I dont care about variables, im not asking about my post im asking about "YOURS"

        Simply asking

What success has forum posting done for you?

Like i said im not asking about my post, and the niche, variables, im just asking a simple straight forward question.Lets not make it compliacted (:

Get a grip. I doubt anyone even tracks this, so how could they tell you their averages? Most people who do effective forum marketing have other ways of generating traffic, which will pretty much make something like this impossible to even guess at with anything approaching accuracy.

Or better still - your OWN product.

I have 8,000 posts on a forum in a niche I am involved with. That forum has been the driving force behind my eBook and membership site. On the forum, I say hello to new members in the intro forum, I help people for free with their problems and questions within the niche, and in return, they see my signature which links to my sales page for my eBook.

If I break it down as earnings vs forum posts, you may see how I make money from forum posts:

For every forum post I have made, I have earned about £2.00 (approx $3.00). Thats not every hour, that is every post. Some posts take seconds, some of the bigger posts (and more helpful posts which have helped me establish and maintain my credibility as an authority in the niche) take 15-20 minutes.

The average I would say, is 5-10 minutes a post.

Do you not know how to do basic math? For being a internet Marketer you sure dont know much

How do you track it ?
Simple, and you know what IVE NEVER DONE IT BUT HERES HOW U DO IT.

            1. Get your amount of post os lets say 1000
            2. How many sales have you made from people clicking your signatures from your post - lets say (20)
            3. How much is the offer ( lets say $35)
            4. $35 times 20 = $700
            5. Divide 700/1000
            6. = you made .70 cents a post

SEE NOT THAT HARD .... Danr62 i dont want your advice. BOOM!

            It's actually pretty simple.

For example, I can tell you which social media source gets me the highest percentage of downloads for reports or views for an article. Simple redirect tracker does it.

I could easily set up a way to track every subscriber source if I wanted to bother. It would take all of 3 minutes per source to hard code it into a page. Less, if the ads are in places that don't object to query strings in the target URL.

Sales? Multiple affiliate codes are one way. If you host your own shopping cart, having a separate copy of the sales page for each source is another.

This is very basic stuff that anyone can do without any fancy tech. If you have a modern shopping cart, you can do all sorts of fun stuff.

As far as people not doing it... You'd be surprised. Watch the URLs in a lot of signatures, and you'll start to notice the folks who tag their links, either with a ?wf or redirect codes. It's pretty common.

Okay, you want my results? I don't know, because I don't track those.

                Why?

Because I don't make every forum post about getting my sig exposed. I don't just post "marketing posts", I ask questions, I make jokes with members I'm friendly with, I argue, I call people out. None of those posts are made with the idea that they will make me money. So any average I might calculate wouldn't mean a whole lot.

If they abolished sigs tomorrow, I'd still be a member of this community. I can say the same thing for a few more across a few different markets. Any sales I get as a result of my sig are a bonus.

I guess if you want to get technical, my forum marketing is more an exercise in branding than direct response.

OK,this is a though one since I don't actually tract how much traffic i get per post.Maybe i need to start tracking then i can be able to exactly respond your question.
But in average i get roughly 30-50 traffic per day

Id say it all depends on what kind of value of a comment you make on the thread in your niche.
How much daily traffic that forum/thread gets

If you provide good answer or provide some great information.

people will think you know your stuff and tend to click your sig to see what other great info you can offer

Try and think of quirky sig title too

Focus on posting valuable contents instead of just posting just for the sake of posting to get your signature blasted in the forum.

That's an interesting question. I guess if you had a product that had a certain conversion rate with Adwords, and then used it in the signature file, you could compare. I actually have never calculated that but if you were posting specifically for sales, then, if you had a similar forum, you might get similar results. The problem is there are too many variables such as quality of the post, if the post relates to the product you are marketing, etc. Anyway, interesting concept. Thanks!

I have made $77,864 in front end sales with the warrior forum, i have made 2,546 posts

which comes out to $30.58 a post.

Not sure that means anything though. Still not bad for just 1 forum and 1 stream of income.

I really do not mind those variables. What matters to me is just I love to share or contribute anything that I know, or I would like to know here in Warrior Forum. It's just that I love this place.
