Sending Free Report (aweber)

I've finally completed the free report I'm going to be using as an incentive for people to sign up to my list. I've got a couple questions on how this should be delivered.

#1 - When people sign up to the list, do I just include the report as an attachment to the email they will receive immediately after confirming they wanted to sign up? Or do I have a link in that email to my site where they can download the report? (like a 'private' page?)

#2 - I have about 35 people on my list who signed up without getting the report. I assume I'll just send them a broadcast message with the report or a link to the report, correct?

I'm fairly new to email marketing, and just want to make sure I'm following 'best practices'

Thanks to all the warriors who have already helped me, and anyone who responds to this thread!

    Hi Michael,

The most efficient way would be to go to the messages tab and create a followup series, where the first message is sent immediately.

That first message would contain a link to a page on your site, where the subscribers can download the promised freebie report.

    Question for you...

Do you know how to format the width of the text, where the reader doesn't have to read the message across his or her entire computer screen? This is one I can't figure out.

Thanks! That's what I figured but I just wanted to be sure.

Regarding your question, I'm not sure...I don't think I've ever experienced that issue, but I'm pretty new to aweber.

You could do it that way, or you could redirect to a download page after they confirm (if it's double optin) containing an offer of some description.
