So far, writing content and promoting it via niche sub reddits and a niche forum. That traffic is not sustainable yet but I have gotten about 800+ uniques in a week doing this. However, it is definitely work and I had been a regular on the niche forum for months before I had a product or a site.

I use SEO for my main sites and PPV LeadImpact, PPC 7 search and Facebook ads for subdomains, facebook pages and direct linking for other CPA offer.
On my main pages I promote ClickBank product and also mine own product and I separately set up redirects for other CPA offers.
It work perfectly for me.

Well you get targeted list from media buying. People who are clicking on your banners are actually interested in that product. The advantage of media buying is that I don't have to work hard. Yes I worked hard to gain that knowledge but now I don't have to. I can start sending top notch targeted "cheap" traffic to my websites within 2-3 days and all the traffic is in my control. I can start, stop, pause it or stop it whenever I want.

That's how it changed my life.

YouTube, forum posting, and social media has worked best for me. I always used free methods, and was glad I didn't have to pay for the traffic, but it's a lot of work. I'd like to start trying out some paid advertising to build my list, e.g solo ads, media buying, etc.

  I was in a guidance of a mentor. I learned from him for around 2 months then I started doing marketing. So it didn't took me long. I read a lot and then I developed my own method for media buying.

I use PPC and press releases.

Our last press release went viral and got over 51k unique visitors to our sites and many optins and sales. They work great, however.... I only see about 1% of all press releaseses online actually written well enough to do their job. I get a retired journo to write mine, and they are gangbuster!

But I agree with you prateek9118 - once you figure out paid traffic, you have the keys to the castle

Getting this down has changed my life as well. I got fired from my "job" of 7 and a half years but because I figured out media buying it didn't matter bc I was already earning 3x what I was getting paid.

Now it's more like 7 or 8x.

200+ visitors per day from Twitter! That is awesome. Just yesterday I was reading an interview of a blogger who has more than 10,000 followers on Twitter (real ones and not fake followers) and yet he says he gets only around 1000 visitors monthly to his blog. So, how are you getting so much traffic? Is there some strategy you are using which you might want to share with us?

@prateek, where are you diverting the visitors you get through media buys? Are you directing to a landing page and then promote products after they sign up or something else? Are you into different niches or just focusing on one?

I don't use free report for a sign up. This technique has been used to death by almost everyone. Rest depends on product.

I answer every tweet to me. Sometimes it takes one hour to do so. Also I interact with my followers every single day. It takes a lot of work, time, and effort. Sometimes when I tweet out a link i will get 20 or more retweets. Never send a direct message it turns people off. Be very personal with them. Get to know their names and likes.

For instance I will remember if one of my followers likes a certain football team. Then i will talk to them about that team. People like when you show that you care. There is many other things i do but i'm saving that for a wso in the future.

Fine. I will let the cat out of the bag, so to speak. I use Wordpress and lists of ping sites that I copied into the write control area of the WP admin panel. I have found several lists, like large lists that I formatted with line breaks in a txt file and copied and pasted into that write area of wp admin area. I don't know how many hundreds of ping sites, PING SITES that I copied there. Just a boatload. I have gotten over 100 visitors in a day doing this. This goes for 2-3 of my sites.

it depends.
to give an example,
with my personal sites I use the free way of promoting.
such as blogging, twitter, facebook, youtube.
products but I am where I paid € 0.12 per visitor, and there I use rapid hits and I pay € 2 for 1000 unique visitors in 24 hours.

SEO (the way it was defined earlier) is dead. Today, you need to put in time to generate traffic. You have Facebook, Twitter, Flicker, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, Social Bookmarking sites, dozens of top forums such as Reddit and Metafilter and thousands of blogs in your related niche. All you need is to put in time.
There are tools but they are pricey. You may try Exolevel. It is by far the best way to generate organic traffic and yet bypass Google Penguin and Panda.
