PSA: SEO N00bs READ Before You Invest

I don't want to spread negativity or hate on anyone getting money, this is just my point of view as an independent internet marketeer. I've been lurking within this forum and many others within the past 6 months since I've been introduced to IM. I have learned a lot of great things from this forum and others. Enough to comprise a rant, I wanted to share the things that I find unfair within this forum and help other n00bs to the next level within this shark tank.

"Gurus" selling how to's.

They are hustlers hustling people who are trying to learn how to hustle. Plain and simple. Most of the ebooks are filled with information scraped from the internet that you can get for free if you type the right phrase in google. If you want to survive the hustle don't get hustled.

Link Providers

A lot of people on this forum and others claim to sell "Private Network Links"
The truth of the matter is I can read your post and everyone and their momma can read your post and signup. There is nothing private about that.
A lot of the time when you send these link providers PM's asking questions like "What is the max amount of OBL's to a site?" They'll dance around the question and try to answer in a way that will appeal to your interest just to get the sell.
Truth be told that 400 High PR link package for 40 bucks is GaRbAGE, and you might see a raise in rank for about a week until the next black and white update.
This means all the hard work you put into building your site is down the drain your money site is penalized and your back at the start. Please don't spend any of your hard earned mooniez on "Private Blog Network" links or these SAPE links with the rave reviews.
Most of the people selling these link packages don't even have niche sites ranking anywhere in the serps they are just hustling their spam links.

Monthly Packages

It's like washing your clothes with cheap detergent once and then putting some more quarters in and letting them flop around in tap water for another hour.
Waste of money bruh. If you're going to do something do it the right way the first time or give up now and save yourself the time, trouble and funds.

Buying Content

This has to be what I use WF for the most. Buying content. You can get some good content. I recommend Lindsey Interactive (Use the search option). I'm not affiliated with them in anyway its just who I choose to go with. The price is cool for what you get. Ask for some discounts on bulk orders they hook it up.

Just make sure you copyscape everything and proof read everything. Sometimes people will spit on your cupcake and call it frosting. Not to mention the people who don't even speak english with 15 dollar articles. -__-

Final thoughts

This is just a quick rant in hopes of saving someone from making mistakes that can make or break your business. This forum is a shark tank full of people preying on unsuspecting victims. Treat your money and your niche like you would your future, because that's what it is and that's what your here for.

Suggestions
Everyones niche is different. What works for someones site might not work on yours. It depends on the sites you're competing with among other variables. Write down and try to find an answer to every question pertaining to your development. Research forums. Read. Read. Search. Read. Execute. Wash and repeat.

Knowledge is power.

Great post, Rozay. If there's one thing I've learned in my limited time here, it's to take it slow and do your research. If you rush into a niche (especially one that you don't care for) expecting to make hundreds in a couple weeks, you're probably going to fail. It takes a lot of time, effort, money and more time. Don't be swindled by fake promises of instant traffic, "proven sales methods" or other pitches from "the pros." The only thing that determines your success is how hard you work.

Great advice thanks for posting. It's hard sometime to really find solid information that works.

If you folks are having trouble finding 'solid information that works' here, you either can't read, or you won't read.

Either way, this 'Guru' can't help you.

What's a shark to do now?

Some people won't learn to duck until they've had their noses bloodied a few times. This place can be an excellent tool for tuning up the BS meter. What's the catch line one of the TV networks uses? "The more you know..."?

There were hustlers, wannabe hustlers and marks long before Al Gore invented the Internet , and there always will be.

There will also be crusaders with a variety of motives preaching against their hustle of choice.

The rest of us just keep on keeping on, doing the best we can.
