I think you're a mentalist, I'm an Illusionist and I do this kind of stuff as well, I do readings as well and I thought about selling my service on the internet, I think that the best way psychic readings can be done are through skype, or to send people a message that contain the reading, you can set up a website and create a survey in which they can fill in some information like their name and birth date and the buy button to send a request for getting the reading on e-mail, but I shall consider the call option as well, can you please tell me the site that will route the calls? thanks in advance, best of luck.

Risky? It's repeat business! Do you say the same for people marketing physical products? How often are people buying refrigerators or treadmills? They don't buy another in a week when they need something else chilled or need to shed another pound.

I have been using premium lines ect, For about 2 years now mainly redirection to non premium lines,

BUT This is NOT the year to be getting involved
Compliance Update Potential breach of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 - PhonepayPlus

just one example, The big issue is people are getting fed up with premium rate and making stupid amounts of chargebacks, AND Compensation if they 'didn't' see your disclaimer,

Again I would suggest against this business, As you may find yourself in a big hole you can not get out of,

I'd suggest more business research. Paid phone lines are essentially dead in the US. Then there are many disclosures you need to make basically saying this is for entertainment and no one is reading a mind, so you don't get sued.

You are not a magician, you are an illusionist, and if I go to a show I know what I am getting, I in no way believe you are doing Magic. If, you were to try and convince mentally unstable people that you were actually doing magic and take their money then, yes, I would stay away from it as it would be a fraud and a scam

OK, now we're just splitting hairs. OK, there are spiritual advisers who need to work to feed their families. Or maybe we don't believe in families?

It's unfortunate that this thread has found much more mockery than creative marketing input. I wish I'd done this type of work so I had something constructive to add to the conversation.

  Here is the most helpful thing you can tell your psychic friends. I promote a cpa offer for LivePerson and target people seeking psychic readings.
  
  Get them linked up with LivePerson and become an expert. The link is somewhere on the site.
  
  They can set their own rates and market themselves. They can network the community aspect of the site as well to gain business.
  
  I seen some psychics charge as much as $20 a minute but also have 1000's of raving reviews to boot.
  
  I'm in the wrong industry.
  
  Seriously?.
  
  Of course they would be trading one middle man (you) for another but they would be working on a proven platform.
  
  Don't know why they didn't see that in their crystal ball.

Ouch.

While I can sort of understand people's ill will towards things such as psychic hotlines, if people want to throw away their hard earned money on mumbo jumbo then that's their perogative.

It's the same way I view phone sex hotlines - a grand waste of time for the caller, but if that's what turns them on and they do it being informed of the charges then it's their money.

That being said, I'm guessing you should target specialist forums and blogs that deal with mediums and spirits. Reach out to them and offer special discounts or prizes for using your services maybe?

I like watching those cool entertainment magician shows on the Tele, but physic readings spiritualist stuff, not what I would consider a honest and moral way to make a living online..
Honesty and business, whether it be off or online, has to be above board, this type of mind games is not..

First I would build the site so you have something to present to potential employees and customers.

After that I think you will need a massive advertising budget to find workers and customers at the same time. If you know people in this line of work maybe work something out with them for helping you get started so you are not starting out with a dead site.

You could hammer Craigslist and similar outlets as well assuming you have the time.
