Landing Page, Squeeze Page, CTA form?

I have a WordPress info site selling an ebook. I expect to use PPC and a landing page to persuade searchers to buy. But I also want to build a list.

Which of these options is best:
1. Include a mail list signup form with incentives on the PPC landing page? Won't that distract from the sales process?
2. Include a link to a separate squeeze page with incentives on the PPC landing page? Won't that also distract from the sales process?
3. Use a separate squeeze page for list building (where does traffic come from?)
4. Send the PPC traffic to the squeeze page, not the landing page? Stops sales?
5. Use a Call-to-Action plugin to create a mail list opt-in form (with incentives) on most pages, instead of using a squeeze page?
6. Some other combination or method?

Thanks All!

Building an email list should be your number one priority. That's your asset. You can then sell your product to your list. You'll lose a lot of money sending traffic directly to a sales page. Too many people will leave without buying. They need to be warmed up first. If you want to send traffic directly to a sales page and build an email list, you should seek out affiliates. They will warm the traffic up for you.

Number 4 with a combination of number 5 on your list is the best option.

I would do some split testing to start, with variations on combining squeeze/sales/landing page.

Try to build a list without giving up the sales opportunity.
