Your free marketing campaign is fine, but i think you will be more content with your results if you did paid advertising (and alot of it), so that it could build up your blog traffic, blog subscribers, and eventually sales/commissions.

Also, if you want to use fb more, you can go to fiverr.com and buy fb likes for $5, but do a little research on the people selling them before you buy to make sure they are giving real likes from real accounts. Anything more that 100 for $5 I'd be suspicious. As you build up your likes you can post your blog posts on your page and the people who have liked your page will see them.

StumbleUpon is another good platform to use.

Do you have a list? If so, do some blog broadcasts and you will soon find people from your list will also start subscribing to your blog

Keep setting up profiles for your blog on as many social networks as possible, and make sure to keep adding quality content to your blog. Ads are a good way to drive traffic too if you're willing to invest a little money.

The first thing is - DO NOT buy Facebook likes. You will get more traffic from Facebook if you have 100 genuine likes than you would get from 1k bought likes. Bought likes are not targeted. Those people sitting in your FB page don't care about what you're writing about.

The second - As someone up there said, make it look half decent. You are doing good by writing articles yourself. Make sure to add them regularly and you will get to increase visits slowly. Since you are already writing the articles you should get some on-site done there. I always believe that good, regular content trumps everything else but with that being said, things such as SEO and everything else mentioned int his thread are still important.

Traffic has to be slow and steady. You can not use all the methods out there, you should only stick to some and you will see result.

I suggest you do video marketing. Create videos from your articles (Whiteboard Videos are good), upload it on youtube, put good descriptions (So you will show up in SERP).

The content is only tool which can provide real traffic to your blog anything the else only can drag the traffic for some time but it can't provide it for permanent as the user who visited your blog for first time only come back when he/she find relevant to their search query if your blog is not capable of providing solution to their problem or any type of knowledgeable facts then they won't come again so it is better to focus on your content first then you can do some thing like
Before providing any link to social networking site 'facebook and google+ ' of your blog post you must cross how it looks or appear to other people when they look at the link that link must have some content so that people get attract to click on that but keep in mind it must be relevant to your post and not a spam type of content.
Write some guest post for some good and well known blog which provides backlink in that way you ca distribute your writing sample to other people and your writing sample also get some publicity.
Blog comment must be related to the discussion going on over the blog or it must be about the article.

Right now I am getting a lot of traffic from pinterest clones, and that traffic has high conversion. It is near 2% so it is some money. I suggest creating some awesome images. Then you post em. Traffic rolls right in. All you need is some free time and a camera.

Getting traffic will ALWAYS be something you need to do for the life of your business.

Some points about getting traffic:

1. Basically, you can divide your traffic activities into two categories: 1) short-term and 2) long-term. You need both.

Beware: Often, traffic generation info is geared to other IMers, so they'll give you resources geared to that. If your audience is other IMers, fine. If not, be wary and choose people who can help you get the traffic you need. Don't waste time, money and effort getting unqualified traffic.

Traffic is as simple as finding out where your target audience hang around and getting your content or ads in front of them to drive them over to your blog.

According to me forums are the best place to get quality traffic as it is full of quality traffic that actually wants solutions to their problems that they may have. Each forum has its own posting rules so you must read the guidelines carefully before you actually start posting. I get most of my traffic from useful responses on forums. And one of the most important reasons why forums are best because they are completely free to join. The only thing you have to do is spend some time on forums in your niche and the traffic will automatically start coming to your website. Good Luck.

Focus on giving what your audience wants. Look for the problems that they're having and provide solutions to those problems. It's not about what you want, it's about what they want.

What is the purpose of your blog? If it is to generate sales, your first priority should not be the traffic, but to perfect the visitor-to-customer conversion.

You have to Focus on writing High Quality Content and try to become expert on it. Close down everything and completely focus on writing quality article it does not matter if it takes 1 hour to 2 hours to write one article.

When you publish in your blog, each post have each URL and each link. that link get index in Google and various searching engine website. I think I don't need to give you more information on this topic, at moment you install the plugin and keep on writing quality articles every day at least 4 -5 daily if you are doing it full time, don't look for anything else just focus on writing and writing you will see the result in the future and always keep an eye on Google Analytic

For design,fashion and art niches Pinterest is an excellent traffic source.

I can't see your blog, but if you do web/graphic design and publish on your blog, you can also levarage tutorial sites and deviantART.com (this one is huge) to drive targeted traffic to your blog.

Video marketing has been working well for me for years now.
Most of my traffic comes from YouTube.
I would advise doing SEO though, perhaps getting Google Authorship also.

Niche blog comments, when you go to the sites related to your niche, comment on the topic and put you url in the profile. Provide value

I wish it took me 1 or 2 hours. For real quality and in-depth articles or tutorials I'd be looking at 1 or 2 days not hours.

Back to traffic.

The starting point is epic content. Once you've got content so good that people can't help read, link, share and rant and rave about you go to where your target audience is and get your content or ads in front of them.

Network with others in your niche so they know about you. Don't underestimate how much traffic a single tweet, share or mention from an authority blogger in your niche can drive.

As for my two cents, I would say content is the most important. Best case scenario- Your content is so good that it only needs One person to see it. It has to be so good, he will tell everybody he knows. Then they will tell everyone they know.

That's the power of good content .


As an example, I'm posting articles about things I could make a WSO out of- But instead of making a few bucks here on WF, I give it away for free to my audience.
You'll want to give them a golden nugget here and there.

A good start is to try all the things mentioned above some great advise. One thing you could do is update your signature with a link to your site. Nosey people like me always check out peoples signatures Just make sure you got something there worth seeing, some good content.

Traffic is the holy grail with a blog. Quicksprout University is a very helpful resource with several different videos teaching you how to get traffic.

Just know, quality traffic only comes over time. Grab information (email) of those who do come to your blog so when you have a new post you can let them know to come back and slowly you will start to build a loyal audience.

Good solid useful content always brings in repeat visitors to your blog.

Especially if you are wise and are building a list of email subscribers
from your blog too.

If you have a nice backlog of content rich posts at your blog over time
you'll be able to see that you'll begin to get a nice flow of repeat visitors
back to your blog that are actually typing in your "BLOG" domain
name and looking over your site again and again.

This is also known as "Direct Traffic" if you have Google Analytics placed
on your blog so you can track your traffic stats.

Also if you're building a list (as you should be) then whenever you make
a new post you can allow your subscribers know about it and this can
have a knock on effect in terms of people buying related affiliate products
you can showcase there or indeed your own products too.

If you do some very basic SEO (which I don't particularly enjoy doing but
I only do the basic stuff) on all your posts Google and any other search
engines will thank you for the decent consistent traffic you're managing to
get by ranking some of your posts and of course that is extra traffic too.

Not something that I particularly go for the SEO stuff but you might as well
do some basic stuff on your posts seeing as though you are posting regularly
anyway.
