Number one you need to Brand yourself. Over expose yourself and the business on all social networks. Video marketing next and tons of Tweets. Then all it takes is time.

You are right, but I have a website, I made basic SEO for it, I have Linkedin profile and group, profiles on tender sites but it gives not so many clients... Any other ways?

You can try Freelancing Websites like ODesk and Freelancer. I guess the cost of living in Ukraine would be much higher than in places like India and The Philippines so there would be some competition.

You can also try Themeforest dot net and their other Websites. Link on bottom left of the Home Page. Good Luck!

Making money and building your business isn't about "what you like" when you're getting started. You suck it up and do what you have to do in order to build the business, then you can become more picky about methods later on.

  • I do some offline marketing work for various clients. The way I was able to get my first clients and still get clients is word of mouth and partnering with other professionals.

I have a financial advisor that also happens to be a good friend. He has a lot of business clients so I let him know that I now offer website design. He introduced me to one of his clients and I ended up redesigning her website. She in turn has also referred me to other businesses. So partnering with other professionals that you may already use such as an accountant, financial planner, etc is one way. People tend to trust personal recommendations more than other methods.

Tell your friends and family members as well. They may know people that also need your services. Both these methods are free and can lead to some paying customers pretty quickly.

I've also got a few clients from stores I frequent. For instance my daughter had a birthday party at one of these kid places. I noticed they had a bad website. I let them know I design websites and they ended up being a client.

So some simple warm face to face contact may be a great way to get clients! Hope this helps.

Set up a website and portfolio for your company, that is essential. You could start finding clients on freelancing websites such as oDesk, Freelancer, elance and Guru. There are a lot of projects on there that you can bid on. Set up accounts for your company on social networks, and drive traffic to your website through that. LinkedIn could prove to be useful too

    1) Get listed on Google Places... also get listed on Yahoo's version also

    2) Identify your target market. If there's a group of individuals that are you specifically targeting, see if there are keywords that exist so that you can reach these group of people

    3) Hangout and participate in your local chamber of commerce

    4) Start your own site and do free marketing to lower your costs of paid advertising

    5) Offer a superior product that will get people to pay, stay, and refer

If you have a marketing budget, you could start with a little bit of pay-per-click advertising to drive traffic.

Also, why not market yourself locally, to small businesses in your area?

There are a number of strategies for promoting your services, among them Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites. Besides, you can also place an add on classified adds sites, register and make a profile on freelance sites, question-answer sites is also a good option. You can also look for the targeted clients those who don't have a website. You can look through Yell and see which company doesn't have a website, contact them with some attractive offer outlining why you are better than other companies and so forth.....
You can also order to do SEO for your website. SEO is a brilliant way to promote your business and ensure your website's presence which will help raise your ranking on Google, as a result of which you will have more visitors to your website thus you will get considerably more clients.
    Hope it was useful.
If you have any other question related to SEO and Internet Marketing in general, let me know.

The hardest part about working for yourself is that you have to wear all the hats.

Not only are you coding, you are also selling, marketing and managing every aspect of your business.

So it becomes part of your life.

When you eat at a restaurant, ask if they have an app for the restaurant to place take out orders. When someone comes to your door to sell you a lawn service you try to sell them on getting an app.

You have to eat, breathe and live your business and maybe, just maybe, you will get enough work to feed yourself.

It is hard, demanding and consumes you.

But it is sooo worth it!

Your clients are on Facebook and LinkedIn my friend.

Sounds stupid simple but it's the truth.

How you get them is entirely up to you.

What you need is exposure. Try Fiverr to get your name out in the mix. Basically, they do not limit you to $5 any more. Like you can charge up to $500 now. That should be enough for a small app. Also, you can charge for 15 minutes of work one gig. Frankly, the choice is up to you. I got in my in box an email from a guy in India with a PhD willing to work for $3/hour in computer programming.

I don't know how . You would go about doing this for your business butI i always thought that if you just jumped on twitter and started talking to people. Just locating people in the niche and tweeting @ them "If I could (generate 25% more leads for you, Decrease you're inventory costs, Increase your sales) would you be interested?

haven't ever done it with anything but offers but it works pretty good as long as you get them talking to you.

What i would do in your situation?

Just start browsing for businesses that have lousy website. Find them from Google, local directories etc. and try to gather their e-mails or even better - phone numbers. When you have decent amount, you can start sending personalized e-mails and cold calling. Just my 2 cents.

    -Regards-

Best way to brand yourself quickly is to take help from social media like facebook twitter and google+. Ads on them can be very useful,
You can also buy solo ads.
