Text-to-Speech Software?

Hi warriors,

I am in need of a software that can convert text to speech -- preferably a free one with voice selection.

Any recommendation?

p.s. if you are wondering why I needed it, it's for one of my videos.

  I know a lot of people who use Dragon Naturally Speaking it isn't free and it has a learning curve but I do understand it is good.

there are lots of software that can do this. however, if you want to have a good quality voice, you have to pay for it. good natural voice files are usually sold seperately, and they are not allowed to be distributed with other software.

to be honest, none of these work as well as your own sexy voice
I've tried some of them before, even buying natural voices
erm...it was weird...

  There is a WSO that is running (can't remember the name), but it is a membership that will take text from a powerpoint slideshow and convert it into a video presentation with various accents male and female. I believe it was $27 per month and also had a free "try me out" option as well.
  
  I don't know if it will let you do this, but it might allow you to download the content and export the audio to an mp3 file.
