Managing Articles on my site...

I have a HTML site currently with about 30 articles of so related to my topic. I'd like to add 50 or 100 more, but I was wondering if there's a better way to manage that many articles so every time I make a small change to my page I don't have to repeat it 100 times.

Any advice or do I just suck it up?

If you're just talking about formatting changes, look into CSS, which lets you change the style for all occurences of eg a headline, at the same time.

If you want to include whole chunks of HTML (like a common header, menu or footer on all your pages), I use SSI (Server Side Includes) but there are other ways to do that.

In the long run, for lots of article pages, you might be better off converting now to a CMS (content management system) like Wordpress, Drupal or Joomla. Converting now would be easier than converting AFTER you've added another 50 articles!

      Rich,

Kevin is right. Now would be a great time to switch over to a CMS where you would get all sorts of other benefits. I've only used WordPress but you could load all your articles and have them drip at designated times so that your site in constantly updating. You do all the work once and then don't touch the site again until you have more articles to add. Then you can spend your time marketing rather than always making HTML changes.

Another (costly) option would be to buy something like XSitePro which has all the changes you are talking about needing to do already built-in. It does cost quite a bit but the time saved is huge!
