buying traffic - is it worth it? (1 million visitors)

UPDATE
- note that their are also companies that offer niche targeted traffic. Some do 25,000 for 60 something a month etc.. some offer more, some offer less. They also offer the target market you would like to traffic too and the region in which you do so. HOWEVER, i have not asked these companies about their legitimacy or have done any investigation as clearly no internet affiliate marketer has developed anything of such.

PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE THREAD HEADLINE, I AM ONLY USING IT TO GET YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE READ THE ACTUAL POST!! NOTHING ANYONE HAS POSTED IS HELPFUL - I SEE NOTHING BUT CRITICISM AND NO LEGITIMATE KNOWLEDGE OF RESEARCH OR INVESTIGATION. THIS IS WHY I CREATED THE THREAD, IF YOU CAN HELP IN THAT AVENUE - THANK YOU!!

recently i have been coming up on allot of websites that promote 1Milion visitors in a month and after confirmed order they will give you an extra 2 million. Now i'm not an idiot, obviously theirs a catch. as well as oter services that offer differnet variations. I have found 3 kinds of these companies
- bots
http://www.trafficmix.net/
http://trafficdart.com/traffic.html
http://www.visitorshark.net/index.ph...e=products_all
- questionable
http://www.opentracker.net/
http://www.fulltraffic.net/
http://www.visitorboost.com/
http://megawebtraffic.net/
- more reasonable
http://geotargetednichetraffic.com/
http://sociotraffic.com/guaranteed-visitors/
https://forums.digitalpoint.com/thre...geted.2261533/

however as you can see the categories are broadly termed

Has anyone had any experience with using these services and if so, what kind of website were you promoting or business model were you using?

- list building
- product landing page
- promoting a blog etccc

Bulk traffic won't do much. You can always try a squeeze page and followups, but there's no guarantee of profit.

does it at least add value to your rankings. If im promoting something like an ad sense profit site. Do you have any success conversion experience on this?

No! ... In fact the opposite .. I myself launched a new website which was monetized with Adsense and being too lazy to get traffic by traditional methods, I subscribed to such a site, I cannot remember the site name, but the result was that my adsense account was deleted as a result of what Adsense said was fraudulent clicking of ads .. I didn't bother arguing with Google as my past experience is they don't listen, but I learned a valuable lesson .. never buy into guaranteed traffic

You definitely do not want to use this on an Adsense website. They are notorious for banning sites that use services like this and you'll never get your account back.

One of the tactics that the bulk ad services of this type use is to send your ad to sites that are either link farms or they are private network sites that rarely receive human traffic. Bots do all the work to justify the service's claims but your money will be wasted and your account is often jeopardized as others have stated. Don't waste your time or your money.

      LOL

Are there any real guarantees of profit for anything that we do?

But I do agree that bulk traffic usually isn't worth near the same amount of money you spend to get it.

Bulk traffic is of no use. As Graham said, you always end up losing you adsense account. So stick to the traditional seo methods. Yes its time consuming and the result are not instant but in long run white hat seo methods wins ..

That kind of raw un-targetted traffic would cost you more than it makes you in slow load times, and bogged down servers. More than likely it's bot, click jacked, iframed, or other shady traffic means that are going to do you zero good.

You need to know the demographics of the website sending the traffic. Unless the traffic is targeted it won't do you much good. Another thing you want to know is what country the traffic coming from. This makes a big difference.

I can tell you from my own personal experience that it is NOT worth. Short term traffic methods do not usually work and are not a reliable long term strategy for an online business

Anyone who will deliver "1 million visits" and then extra visits after confirmed purchase sounds like it's a bot or something... dont buy it if you want to build your list and find actual buyers for your products

Like everyone else is saying stay away. The traffic is most likely bots. Even if it was human traffic it would not be targeted at all. All it would do is ruin your bounce rate for sure.

The only people that really benefit from these types of service are the ones trying to sell their website and trying to make their traffic/alexa rank look better than it is.

If it sounds too good to be true it probably is...
Unless traffic is targeted there's a small chance you'll get anything out of it.

I much prefer high quality traffic.

    Quantity of leads? Who cares.

Return on investment / quality traffic is much more important for me.

I can give you millions and millions of unique hits that won't do a damn thing.

I can also give you half a dozen leads who are STARVING for what you have.

    Which sounds more ideal?

That amount of traffic won't produce very good results. You are much better getting smaller chunks of targeted traffic through ads. These will convert a lot better, and be more worth your while. Bulk traffic is generally un-targeted, you're much better purchasing higher quality traffic from Facebook or Adwords.

This kind of million clicks are mostly just junk untargeted traffic, with very bad conversion/sales.
Best spend the money to buy targeted clicks. If free 1 million click doesn't sound fishy, I don't know what does.

I agree with everyone, it will be low quality, but that's not the worst part of it. The worst part of it is you cloud the true conversion rates of the offer your sending that traffic to. 1 million clicks and no conversions may cause you to scrap the offer prematurely...

I have tried several of those websites before who promises you million visitors etc and found the traffic to be of low quality, usually most of the traffic comes from china.
Invest your money in Solo Ads instead, there are lots of them on this forum where you can get quality and targeted traffic.

bulk traffic is garbage and it might just kill your site if there are bots. Try to generate quality organic traffic which will convert way better.

You could probably monetize this traffic with an ebook on "sex", or if you sell some type of porn product. I'm not sure if they use robots to click to your site, or if actual 1 million people really do come to your site. I personally would invest that money into solo ads, Adwords, or Bing Ads.

The only catch here is it isn't actual human traffic... It will most certainly be Bot traffic which is obviously useless. Don't waste your time with those types of offers...

When you buy a "MILLION HITS" type things, that is junk left over traffic from legit sources. Its basically Run of Network or RON at best and bot traffic at worst.

So where does it come from? Picture a low tier PPC/CPV/Contextual advertising platform, but unfortunately nobody is bidding on many keywords. So how do they monetize all that unused inventory? Sell it to people who just don't know that its most likely not going to convert. I won't say never but 99% likely it won't. I made like $20 grand off CPV RON traffic so it is definitely not totally useless but 99.99999% of people will be unable to monetize it, jeez I doubt I could even monetize it if I had to, I just lucked out that one time.

    Stick to targeted traffic.

Being someone that personally spent $1,000's testing this type of traffic. Do not waste your money on it. If they could really send 1 million visitors, they wouldn't offer those type of deals for like $10 - $30. Besides, how are they supposed to send you 1 million visitors, and they don't even get 1 million visitors themselves The only thing that type of traffic is good for is to improve alexa ranking, other than that - no subscribers, no sales, been there done that.

Ensuring on line presence gradually is advisable. It isn't worth because 1 million visitors in a month is dangerous: it may contain bots that will only harm your website rankings. Besides, you should know if the supplier is reliable.

I disagree - I think Warriors have given their honest opinion about your thread questions. Some have talked about their actual hands-on experience with buying this type of traffic. You may not like what you're hearing, but most all Warriors are in agreement on this one. Adding research or investigation is not going to change their minds when the evidence of the uselessness of this traffic is subjectively analyzed.

    The best to you,

LEVERAGE bulk traffic in the right way, this is the secret.
Simply place banners in your web page (I mean banner-codes from banner-exchanges that give you 1 credit per single impression of its banner), after that:

** use bulk traffico for a better alexa rank
** use bulk traffic to get millions of impressions for your banner-exchanges!

    ;-) EASY
