Good Offer To Get Cat Lovers To Opt In To Email List?

Hi,

what would be a good offer to get cat owners/lovers to opt into my cat lover email list? I am using facebook ads to target car owners and want to know how I should "entice" them to join my fan page and email list? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Well if your targeting car owners to get cat lovers to sign up, you might have trouble with that, don't you think.

If you meant cat for both or car for both I don't know but it goes back to keyword research, what keywords are you going to target, That is your answer.

Whatever the recipients can't have seen before, and fulfils all the essential objectives mentioned here.

It will help you a lot to try to stop thinking of this in terms of "the number of people who will opt in". The biggest list and the biggest income are usually two very different things, and there are reasons for that.

What matters is that the "opt-in bribe", if you're using that technique, has to be something that achieves the maximum possible open-rate for the subsequent email series. You'll earn far more if you build a slightly smaller list but 75% of them open your emails, rather than a slightly bigger list of whom only 25% open your emails. This can easily be the difference between overall success and overall failure. Starting off with the perspective that "the main aim is to get as many people as possible to sign up" is seriously inadvisable.

You're thinking about ways to attract cat lovers by offering them something that may benefit their cat or similar. Instead think about all the problems they have with their cats and offer them a solution to that. For example, peeing in the house or tearing up furniture. Remember, just because they love their cats doesn't mean they don't have problems with them

Why would a cat owner's house smell like cat pee? I've had a cat for years and my house never smells like urine nor feces.

Because your teenage daughter says, "If I can get a cat I'll clean the litter box every day."

And like a total goofball; you believe her and buy her a cat.

      True story.

Same here! It's amazing what *cleaning* the litter box on a regular basis will do!

Back to the OP's question, I'd stay away from any topic that cat owners should be talking to their vet about (best food, random changes in behavior, etc.). As a cat owner, I'd be inclined to think you were trying to offer me veterinary advice -- and since you're clearly a businessman instead of a vet -- I'd ignore the offer.

But, on the other hand, if you offered me other useful cat info (for example, information about cat body language, tips on travelling with a cat, or unique ways to help the cat get exercise), I'd be much more interested.

Cat videos. They are the big rage on YouTube.

Simple cat care reports, how tos.

I would suggest visiting a few forums and looking for the problems that come up again and again.

In your short report you want to give them something of value, but not everything--Use it to pre-sell one of your products, or an affiliate product.

Forget cat lovers (saturated) start a cat HATERS fanpage!

Personally I would respond to an offer on how to trap cats that dig in your garden at night and drive your girlfriend crazy (its her garden). What traps work best, where to get them, how to properly dispose of the feline. etc.

Cat lovers love their cats as if they were their babies. You should look for things that make cats happy, so that you may make their owners happy with what you are selling.
