Is an Internet Marketing "partner" Feasible?

Hi,

I have been lurking around this site for a couple of weeks now and cannot come to a conclusion. I am hoping that this fine community can offer some insight!

I am involved in a very specialized niche of real estate that can be highly profitable if approached correctly. Not many people are familiar with this niche (and the ones that are typically approach it in the wrong way) and from the research I have done, it is essentially untapped. There are a couple of ebooks out there that are good primers, and one fairly outdated and more comprehensive work.
My original idea was to write a book detailing my experiences and the approach that will generate the highest chances of success. As I looked into that option, I started reading more and more about physical "information products" (consisting of a few physical books/handbooks, some audio and maybe some video) and decided that this would in fact be an excellent niche for such a product. Given the type of business I would be catering to, just a few tips and tricks could save a newbie thousands of dollars, and I think that potential buyers would recognize that quickly.

Enter WF.

I have snooped around these forums a bit and have almost come to the conclusion that it would be highly profitable to build a site catering to my niche, slowly building a list of warm leads with some free primer material, and then systematically coming out with new, high level, material to sell. As I mentioned, this niche is almost entirely untapped.

And now my dilemma. I have been quite successful in my niche and am currently growing my business very aggressively. I therefore spend most of my day on the growth of this business and dont have time to build an internet marketing business.
On the other hand, this market is ripe for the picking!! I dont see why a solid (read: valuable) information product in this niche cant sell for 1K, and I dont see why I cant sell a few hundred a year while coming out with more valuable products!

So, my question: Is there an angle in internet marketing that allows for the "experience" in a given niche to partner up with a seasoned internet marketer? The "experience" producing the quality products" and the marketer producing the traffic? Do such partnerships exist? If so, what is the rate of success? How would each partner protect himself?

Thank you in advance for taking the time to weigh in!

Yes that is very plausible. Actually that can really work out for you. It's good to focus on your business/product development and just have someone do the online marketing. I would recommend you hire an expert who not only can bring you traffic but good leads and can build you a list in time.

In such a specialized area, I would opt for someone "local", who knows the market that you are going to be selling into.

I'm sure you could find the right person on here, but you may need to narrow your target area as this is a Worldwide forum.
