Can Optimize Press Be Used As An Interactive Membership Site? Or What Should I Use?

I want to make an interactive membership site that is monthly subscription as an upsell. Where I can post content and people can ask questions and I can answer and other people can comment as well. Pretty much like a forum. Can this type of thing be done in Optimize Press or Do I need to make a private forum for this?

If you're going to need something that acts like a forum, then use a forum. Either VBulletin or XenForo for the same price or less can do what you need without all the hassle of OP2.

But can you do something like this with OP? Or is OP just used for membership sites with no interaction?

A long time ago I had an optimizepress membership site.

The site ultimately flopped big time... But I was able to install some WordPress forum.

And, the forum was able to be protected with WishList member.

So, if you want to integrate wishlist with optimizepress, you can easily implement a forum system that's protected from non-members.

    Hope this helps.

Yes, you do need a separate forum plugin - either WordPress based, or non-WP (like vB or XenForo). And using DAP, it can be integrated in such a way that if they log in to the member's area via the DAP login form, then they're logged in to DAP, into WordPress and into the forum plugin all at once ("Single Sign-on").

        See http://digitalaccesspass.com/documen...m-integration/

DAP now integrates with vB 5.0 Connect as well.

What I did was have a free forum wordpress plugin.

You mentioned you wanted real interactivity like a forum.

There was a free wordpress forum plugin (I'm sure it's still around).

    It actually worked pretty well.

Check it out, it will enable you to interact with your members without a problem.

I've used DAP before but honestly forget how it functions.

I'm confident you'll be able to make whatever directory your forum is installed with protected.

    Hope this helps.
