Lots of money in selling B2B lists?

Hello, I have access to national B2B lists that include information such as key contact people, industry, phone numbers and emails, company size, revenues, etc

I am looking to start a business where I market these lists locally to businesses for a one time low cost. As a business, would you pay for a comprehensive list like this (tens of thousands of contacts in it from across the country)? Any insight to help me find my way would be greatly appreciated

  • Most of the people and companies on those B2B lists don't even know they are on such list, nor do they even want to be on it. As an Entrepreneur, I find myself being listed in those lists as well. (without my permission).
Therefore I personally would never purchase any type of list from an unknown entity.

So if you are not an established and reputable mailing list firm, and can not verify that you have obtained every single contact yourself by legitimate means, (buying it elsewhere does not count) then most serious marketers and companies would probably stay clear away from buying your B2B lists.

thank you Arnold. I fully understand what you mean. The email lists I have are all opt-in and can spam compliant... but I understand the real work is gaining the trust of prospective buyers so they would have confidence to purchase
