Google Analytics in Cpanel

Is it a good idea to install google analytics in Cpanel of your server if they offer the integration, or should you probably do it manually for each page? I can see it being a benefit if you're running wordpress, a forum, plus having html files and so on.

Not sure of all of the pros/cons but i'm thinking of just using the integration from cpanel and not worrying about getting wordpress plugins and adding the analytics code manually.

    Hmm...You've shown me something new!

I have never run Google Analytics this way - may be worth trying out...especially with HTML pages (ex: I have an HTML site with 50+ pages...and I had to add the tracking code to each page individually) this could potentially save a ton of time/hassle.

It inserts a javascript into every page on the fly instead of manually so yeah, that's why I'm asking. I used to do it manually and it was a hassle. WP plugins are good for that but if you have a combo of WP + html this could be a lifesaver.

I've never seen that option at any of my webhosts. Interesting.

Usually I'd insert into each page or, better yet, use a plugin when using Wordpress.

I've never seen the option - though to be honest I don't visit cPanel very often. I always use the Google Analytics Plugin from Yoast because I use WordPress.
