Get UP! - Why most people fail!

My name is Daniel Brown and I want one thing...

I want to be the reason you make your first one million dollars. This isn't a sales letter nor is it written to hype you about anything.

Why do most people fail online?... Skip that question, here's a better one. Why have you failed online?

I've come to realize that people look at other people's success as a barometer to where they are NOT. You've probably failed online because you've fell victim of the mindset of "Get Rich Quick".

Internet marketing is a business and this business is no different than offline marketing but people jump in and they see the flashiness of it all and their minds can't decipher the difference between a business model and get rich quick program.

Value people... Value. This is what we're here to deliver, the people you market to are hard working individuals with families. Don't think because you're online and not a brick and mortal that your morality towards them merits different actions.

People fail because they think they don't need a structure... A plan... A vision. If you lack vision how can you see the path to success without a plan, how do you manage your ideas and growth and without a structure how do you expect to not fall when there's no foundation to what you're doing?

Get Electric about your future.

Knowledge is Power, is Value, is the thin air that separates where you are from where you want to be. Stop thinking about x amount of dollars. Start thinking about x amount of value.

As I tell my students you either...

"Live broke and dream of riches or Live rich and live your dreams"

The world doesn't care which you choose. Money doesn't make you a better person, nor does nice cars, nor does vacations, nor does helping people. You can do or have all of those things and be the worst person in the worlds but guess what... It matter to you doesn't it? You are a reflections of your previous actions.

Take a breath, sit down and focus on who you can help and how. Life is perfect if you have the means to experience it. Life is also harsh if you choose to experience it.

Who am I to say these things to you?

I'll just say this. I was once living on the street and can now afford almost anything I desire. So who am I? I'm a friend to you and I"m here to say there's nothing that's impossible. NOTHING!

Get UP and Get Electric

Warm Regards,

Daniel

From what I've seen most people become lazy because they continuously fail. No one likes to get up when they think they will get knocked down again. The mindset is a precursor to success. Laziness is a bi product of failure.

We choose where we stand in what is or what we want to become. If people were to prosper then I believe people would feel better about their ethic of doing what they need to do x-ing out the laziness.

Truth... knowledge is powerless without action.

I do agree with you OP. Providing value is one of the best ways to make money.

We need more posts like this on the forum instead of too many internet marketing junkies shoving products and services in our faces so they can make millions, and what value do they give without them leaving a link to their products or services? Very little. Give more value without all the hype. Great post dannygnenerate!

Very well said Daniel. Thank you for this posting.

I was that person with the 'get rich" mentality...or as Anthony Tilley says ..PBR- Push Button Riches...lol. I've lurked this forum for a couple of years now, and admit I was in awe with all the claims of the "magic button" resolutions to all my financial woes. I've come to learn not too long ago to look through the smoke and mirrors, and find the value. What exactly is this person offering that can help me get to where I want to be? You know what? I notice my time is spent less and less looking at WSO's, and really just looking at the content of some of the postings on here, such as yours. Do I still go there, and look? Of course I do. (There are some good WSO's and good information there.) Guess what I've found?.....I've found some folks offer some great content, value, and actionable steps for free for a newbie like me.

It's funny. Today I looked back at my first post here looking for a course to start, and I read the replies...Not once did I get the answer I was looking for. Can you believe that? Here I was The WARRIOR FORUM! THE forum for marketers! THE PLACE TO BE! ..and I couldn't get the answer I was looking for?! What in the &*^%?!

    You know what I got?

I got the RIGHT answers! The ones that said... Take it step by step.. focus..figure out what you are good at, and focus on that... read through the forum, and you'll find a lot of what you need to get started.... You see I was busy looking for that GO HERE, CLICK THIS...BOOM! YOU'RE RICH! I mean there was no way it didn't exist? Right? I mean I got all those emails that said I could do that? You know the ones with the Ferraris, and mansions. I'm sure you've received a few.......I didn't listen. I walked away, and didn't listen...I mean what could these people know? Here I asked a simple question, and I got these answers? Good grief..they couldn't even answer the question that was asked?! How dare they tell me to think about what I'm good at? What for? I just need to push the magic button. Don't I? To read through the threads here? For what? There's no button there. They gave me a dose of good ol' reality...but who wants that? Reality sucks...but I failed to see how these things could change my reality. How if I had the patience I could do the things they recommended. The things I find myself doing now. I wasted all this time looking for the button...the easy answer to my issues....guess what? My issues are still here...now I have a better of understanding of what I'm looking for to address those issues...and it's not some button. It's VALUE in what I see here. It's PATIENCE. It's GOOD CONTENT. It's finding the ones that are successful at doing what they are teaching and talking about....

Sorry didn't mean to rant, but you started it...LOL

    Once again. Great post!

    Thanks,

    Julie

I think the answer is much more simple than that... most people fail because they don't know what the heck they're doing.

Dave Ramsey refers to it as "classic contractor syndrome" - good hearted guys who do phenomenal work, and end up struggling to make ends meet going into business for themselves because they don't know how to run a business. I see this all the time with web guys... the most talented developers certainly can't be called lazy, they're working 24/7. They just don't have a clue about how to market themselves, how to manage their accounting, or how to outsource the tedious aspects of their work.

It's the same reason most small businesses end up failing... they're started by guys who know everything there is to know about their PRODUCT, but nothing about running a business.

Your right about a few things here, there are alot of talened devlopers out there including myself. I work crazy hours but seem to be struggling with my business and making ends meet. It's not that they don't have a clue how to market themselves properly, there is alot of competition today and people are a lot smarter how they spend there money and what they spend it on. It's definitely true in Ireland anyway

Do the honors and share some of your best advice (without sending us a link to your online business) on how to run a business without working your butt off 24/7??

        Short answer... you don't.

The people you encounter who are living the "easy" life are only doing so because at some point they put in the time and did work their butt off 24/7.

It's not just about being the best at doing what you do, but being well-rounded and understanding the other facets of running a business and how to think like a leader instead of like a "do-er".

A couple quick points in this post:

          1) Most truly successful people fail at least once in starting a business before they truly succeed (if success is measured in dollar bills).
          2) If you want to make a million dollars, you have to put in a million dollars worth of work (very few people get rich quick). Very few people want to work 60-80 hours per week.
          3) There are a lot of free resources (i.e. Small Business Administration, Export Assistance Centers) that can help fledgling entrepreneurs get going in there business. Don't think enough people tap this resource.

I am wired slightly different than most...lol

When i was not making a bean online I was busting my balls to get things working and well I was doing ridiculous amounts of hours a week....

No that my income is good and steady I am very... not lazy... I would say energy efficient :-)

Only an entrepreneur will work 80 hours a week so they don't have to work 40 :-)
