Can I increase my CB gravity by selling the product myself?

So I just got my product up on Clickbank. Now I need to increase the gravity so that affiliates can see my product and promote it.

Question is, if I run ads and make sales myself, will that affect the gravity?
If not, it should be more profitable creating a different landing page for ads that is connected to my merchant account?

"Vendor sales" without an affiliate don't change gravity.

If you become your own affiliate and sell the product as an affiliate, you can change the gravity, but each individual affiliate account can never add more than 1.0 to the gravity, regardless of the number of sales you make through it (and each has to comply with the customer distribution requirement, for you to be paid).

You shouldn't want to increase your product's gravity figure: doing so can put off 2% or 3% of potential affiliates, but they'll be the 2-3% of potential affiliates who might make 95% of the sales, and there are reasons for that. The kind of affiliates who are attracted to high gravity figures are unlikely to make many sales for you, and there are reasons for that, as well.

At the moment, you're making some seriously mistaken assumptions about the relationship between gravity figures and attracting good affiliates who are likely to sell your product. These posts/threads may help/interest you ...

I'm not sure what your niche is, but do you already have a list? If so, you may want to mention that you have an affiliate program running (for the marketers on your list). If your list isn't looking for money-making opportunities, I'd avoid it, but if you know some are...
