Tip on how to search domains to see money sites

Hey, I get asked all the time.
How do I find the websites this person owns.
Most people will tell you there is no free way but there is.

Now remember this, Whois Guard will not show up. I keep my money sites on guard to protect them, but some don't.

Type this in Google
"address" site:whois.domaintools.com

Leave the quotations but replace the address with the address of the person you found, or you can use there name or find out all the sites on there server by inserting there ip.

This service costs 99 bucks at domaintools but google provides it to us for free. Bout time google did something nice for us for a change.

FYI it's not entirely accurate. I just tried it using two pieces of known data, and it returned all kinds of inaccurate results. Names and even addresses are not unique (you have to use the complete address). And to state the obvious: it doesn't reveal private registration domains.

My question is: WHY would you want to do this?

    Just curious.

Lets just test that shall we, and I never said it was 100 percent accurate and if you would read my whole post it states that if privacy is set it won't return.

Also why do I get ask this. Because I actually help people so they come to me when they have a question like, if his squeeze pages get 80 percent optin I would like to see it. Or how is this guy making money. Or what niches is this one in.

Now for a test. Now this is just one search without the full address.

I pulled up more with less than the full address. Again you have to spy on the competiton to find out things.

I have always just used one of the many whois sites. Always worked well for me. Not that I look up that kind of information on a regular basis. Most every registrar has whois features.

I don't know of one free whois who will give you all the sites under a certain name or address, if you know of free ones then share.

Oh my mistake, or I did not read correctly. Ya, I am not sure of how many do. Really only use them to find new domains.

I wonder why you get asked this all the time.

And I'm still curious why YOU would want to do this?

Why? Because you find someone making money you want to see there money sites. You find someone stating they have the best squeeze page with a 60 percent optin rate you want to find it.

I have been doing reverse lookups for years and get valuable information back.

It doesn't necessarily prove their claims, though.

You really have no way of knowing the difference between a "money site" and just a random stale domain in their list. Or a domain they purchased for a friend or one of their children.

It just seems odd to me. Like going to someone's house and going through their underwear drawer.

    "name" search:whois.underweardrawer

Or hacking into their email or Facebook messages.

If someone wants you to know certain information they'll share it with you. Or you can ask them for it directly. That's just my opinion.

      Lynn Terry,

I know is your opinion. However:
In either case from above, unless you've the owner's permission,
you would committing an illegal act.

hustlinsmoke is not. He's using Internet information from users
that their data is available to the public.

I am with Lynn Terry, how do you know a site is really a money site? Or that it does what they claim?

We know people posts claims on forums every day, that are often not even close to true. Fake it till you make it?

Could be modeling something that doesn't really work, wasting time or money.

Agree. There's no real point IMO.

Putting this information out publicly could cause people some serious issues. What if they're not using a PO Box and have public registrations with their home address? You've just given creepers a good tool for scary stalking.

Again you have to spy on the competiton to find out things.
I'm not sure why you feel you "have to" or what "things" you think you'll actually learn, other than what domains their sitting on. Publicly, at least.

I get that. It's the principle of the matter. Ethics, integrity, "any real point to it", etc.
