My article on public speaking has been accepted by GoAtricles.com. I had submitted the same article on Ezine and they send me this message:- "(Linked sites must provide a substantial amount of value, including informative content. (Moderated - removed URL)

Please address the issue or issues described above prior to resubmission.

What we suggest, and what we request moving forward is this: you may include one link to a squeeze page IF you also provide another link that is relevant to your article and provides a substantial amount of informative content (like a blog post or something similar). "

Honestly, I could not figure how to provide the requested content since I am completely new in this; so I submitted the same article and it was accepted on GoArticles.

My question is, how good are GoArticles? I have another Article that I want to submit and I am afraid I might be taking the easy way out rather than taking time and probably figure what Ezine requires, make a blog and submit there, and get some success! Any suggestions Please?

how thin is your blog that you point back to? they want to see more than a squeeze page and so do your customers. set up a funnel on the site (three or four pages that move a customer closer to the squeeze page but that add value)
and you can go to submit your article and have a distribution done for a small fee to several sites.

They are simply wanting more helpful content in your linked source. Your article is being seen as spammy since you are merely submitting it to get opt-ins and not really to provide value.

Start a blog that is related to the articles you want to submit to EzineArticles and can provide quality info. Then, link to a blog post from your own site as well as your squeeze page within the articles you submit.

Not good at all - there's no real approval process or editorial control. It isn't really somewhere where publishers go, looking for content. Sorry.

Are you putting articles into directories without first publishing them yourself, on your own site?

(This is a mistake, if so - for all the reason explained throughout this little thread: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...marketing.html ).

I think it will help you a lot to have a really careful read through this thread, and start off from an appreciation of what benefits you can, and can't, realistically get from using an article directory: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5068872

To be really honest, I feel like I was cheated. I paid for a training yet I don't know anything, I don't know if I am supposed to publish an article on my site before submitting to the directories, I don't know how to publish it on my site, I don't know how to do sales funnel, and I don't know what to do. What should I do? What could anyone do if they where on my position? Pay for another training? Quit?

I may be completely wrong about this, but I have the impression (from a few of your threads) that the training you did was largely about the trainer promoting himself and getting people to promote his products and/or services? I may be maligning him slightly, suggesting this, but that's my overall impression from some of the comments you've made.

I suggest trying "forum information" here rather than paying for another "training". But be very careful by whom you choose to be advised, because there's a lot of misinformation here, as well as "information".

Regarding "using articles", I'm biased, but I think the threads linked to above will actually help you, and I know they've helped many other people.

Not time to quit, yet, surely? All part of the learning experience, after all. I also had a very sticky and difficult start, and had absolutely no idea what I was doing at all, and earned nothing for months. You can see my embarrassing story here, if you want: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post8532320 . I kept going, and was actually earning a living from it not all that long after the catalog of ignorance and disasters I mention in that post.

Go to the search bar in the warrior forum.

        Look for sales funnel
        Look for article marketing

Alexa especially has a quite good grasp on the topic.

Everything you NEED to know is available, FREE, right here on the forum.

How well you use that information is up to you.

I agree... I think I learned more about article marketing over the last couple of days just following the links Alexa has curated () than ever before. It has given me way more confidence to do more of it than previous "courses" gave me.

PS - nice site Daryl, but can I give some constructive criticism and say you should make your website byline clearer - the white is almost drowned out by the black background. I just subscribed...

Ezine article sets a higher standard to accept article submissions, which passes more link juice comparing to Go article. I'd suggest you to provide another link in your article to diversity the link sources as suggested by Ezine.

This is incorrect, but in any case has nothing to do with the purpose of using an article directory.

What they suggested had absolutely nothing to do with "diversifying link sources" at all: they're simply insisting on having a link present in the resource-box (if the author also wants a squeeze page link) which provides further relevant content for their readers. As they explain openly (on their blog), their thinking is based on quality of reading-matter, not on SEO.

Article directories aren't about SEO, anyway. http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5068872

This is also incorrect, the key point being that nowadays ArticlesBase won't even accept and publish content which has previously been published elsewhere, so it's effectively ceased to be an article directory at all, for any article marketing purposes. No article marketer who understands how directories work is going to put unique content into one! ("Buzzle" tried the same thing, and look where it got them! :p ).

Go Articles is a very good site. I use them myself and I love the simplicity of their site. In my personal opinion, Ezine Articles is too complex and too picky when it comes to submitting articles and such.

I will continue to use Go Articles over Ezine Articles any day.

I just wish all my competitors thought the same as you. (Can you persuade some of them, for me?).

The fact that GA has all that "ease and simplicity" and isn't "complex" or "picky" (all of which is completely true, of course) is exactly the reason that publishers looking for articles to syndicate in front of the already-targeted, non-search-engine traffic we're all trying to attract almost invariably go to EZA in preference to GA, to try and find it: the overall quality is better, there - and they all know that. That's what effectively determines a directory's value to an article marketer. The logic couldn't be simpler: GA has no approval process or editorial process, and therefore it has no value or benefit to my business.

From my experience you get more views to an article submitted to ezine articles than an article submitted to goarticles. The only time I have received good a decent amount of views from goarticles was when my article ranked on the first page of Google, which happened because I targeted a keyword with very low competition.

I see no real benefit from GoArticles. If anything i would recommend ArticlesBase before them - yet even so still.... none of those are better than Ezinearticles. If you're going to submit articles to directories, i suggest sticking with Ezinearticles, and then finding other marketing strategies to make up for GoArticles and ArticlesBase.

I use EzineArticles, but I also put a copy in GoArticles and ArticlesBase.
At times I have seen the GoArticles article rank better than the EzineArticles one.
There is no approval process at GoArticles - it's pretty instant.
