Guest Blogging for Niche Related websites

Hi guys, I want to write for blogs related to my niche. I have two webistes, one on dating and the other on Health and Fitness. I would like to write articles for other sites in exchange for a link back to my site. I am trying to find blogs that get all of daily visitors and readers. I have already emailed a few blog owners asking for permission to write for their blog. Hopefully they will allow me. I am also looking for writers to write for my own blog and they can leave a link to their website. I think this is a good way to get me website traffic.

Are there any other ways I can get bloggers to post on my site as I am interested in doing the same for there site. I have never done this before so hope it goes well.

Thanks a lot!

I'm in the dating niche.. what's your site? I pump out large amounts of content generally already but could be open to a guest post or guest post exchange of some sorts.

Health and dating are wide niches, am sure you will get plenty of sites for those niches. When doing guest blogging for a site, make sure to check the site for quality - most guest blogging networks - do not check sites for quality and allow dropped-domain, turn to site - blogs. Check those blogs for quality before publishing your guest posts on them.

As for your own blogs, use tools like copyscape etc. to make sure you are getting good articles.

You can do the following things to make sure you get more guest blogging requests.
            1) make a guest blogging page on your blog. that way, you can mention clearly what you are expecting from a guest post.
            2) link to that guest-blogging page, from every guest post you publish.
            3) do guest posts round ups. Say you published 10 guest posts in a month. Do a round up and show the stats for each. that way, more people will be interested to submit quality posts on your blog.
            4) make a author page - and list all your guest bloggers in it. if you are worried about giving them contributor account, then just make them the accounts but don't give them login details or keep them as subscribers.

            thanks,

Justin, there are 2 resources you really need to check out -- Blogger LinkUp and My Blog Guest. Both will put you in touch with people who are looking for guest posts. You can also use them to find people to write for your blog. Blogger LinkUp sends out an email every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with opportunities, while you have to actually log into My Blog Guest to see everything. (And, yes, they're both free to join )

I'm a member of both, and I've found some great opportunities. Best of all, the more guest posting you do, the more people will contact YOU with opportunities. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten emails from people saying, "I saw your post on XYZ website, and I was wondering if you'd like to write one for my site, too."

    Good luck!!

Thanks a lot Nicole, big help for men. I have already posted on both sites. Anybody else had much success using myblogguest.com? If you can think of anymore sites like this let me know. Thanks

I'd never heard of either of those, Nicole -- Thanks!

You might have some luck on WAHM's blogger or writing boards. I know there are folks there who run their own sites/guest post, etc.

Keep persisting. If all else fails, I would continue writing amazing content for your OWN website and make your site begin receiving organic traffic on a regular basis.

Once you have your own site receiving unique visitors, you will find yourself in a much better bargaining position and more bloggers will be open to exchanging links with you because it will be a very mutual exchange.

P.S: I own a very successful dating site and that is what I HAD to do to get started.

I plan of putting a lot of effort writing content for other blogs and seeking out other bloggers who wish to write on my dating and fitness blogs in an exchange for a link to their website. Anybody interested pm me. Also Thomas, I sent you a pm and thanks for the advice.

Yeah, you'll have to be persistent with the site managers especially if you're not already providing them with a pre-written post that fits their site's criteria. Don't be afraid to double or triple email a site if you don't get a response. If they know you're serious about business, then they will be.

Make sure that you have a "write for us" page on your site. Be cautioned that by having this you could receive a lot of spam, so I would definitely make sure that the contact approach that you give your readers is not necessarily affiliated with an email that you want to keep clean.

Mybloguest and bloggerlinkup are both good approaches, so I second those.

Remember forums as well. There are plenty in both of your niches! Become a regular poster on a few related forums and you can make yourself a known expert in that niche.

Whether you are looking for content for your own site or places that use outside content, EzineArticles.com can still be a good place to go prospecting. Maybe not the way most people think of it, though.

When I'm looking for content at EZA, I'm really not looking for one-off articles that I can copy. I'm looking for writers whose style fits what I'm looking for in the niche I seeking content for. Once I find one, I make contact and ask if they are interested in providing m e content. All I ask is that I get a crack at it before they drop their copy in the directory. If they want to put it on their own site first, I'm fine with that.

When looking for places to publish your content, look at EZA for writers with a style and subject matter similar to what you want to provide. Then search for the places that have published articles by that author. Contact them directly with your offer.
