No need for a 'guru'. Use twitter to build a list by hitting hashtags that are related to the CB niche you want to promote. Set up a tutorial series with CB upsells to your niche. Fairly straightforward.

Tutorial series? on Twitter? or do you mean blog?

I already have several niche Twitter accounts. How do I promote Clickbank products most effectively there? Or should I look at Facebook rather? But FB doesn't like Clickbank links either

  Facebook ads to either a 'squeeze page' to add them to a list or to a landing page which pre-sells the offer. Facebook is an amazing ad platform.

I've never had any luck selling products direct on twitter, you are better off using twitter to build a list and then selling to that list

facebook is just fine with clickbank links and any other make money online offer. you just have to know how to do it right

Twitter + clickbank doesnt work in 2013. Maybe a long time ago it did, but now people are smarter and more internet savvy, and they dont just click on any link out there, especially if its a bit.ly link or something similar (they look spammy)

I have never seen that anybody made any money using twitter. Especially making money with Clickbank products.

The only people that make money with Twitter are the companies that offer tools for twitter.

Just think about it: Who in their right mind has time to follow twitter conversations?

Maybe some teenagers that want to know what their idols had for lunch. But teenagers are not very likely to buy clickbank products.

Offer free guides and reports (you can use PLR product). Use Twitter to build your list by providing quality contents then make money by mailing to your list. pls be patient because you can't make money within hours, but it'll worth your time and hardwork.

I dont agree that twitter can't be use to make money in 2013,
it is still possible not only to make good list out of twitter but it is also possible to make good money from it,
you need to be patient if you want results, nothing gives super fast results.

The only automated tweet service you should use is Hootsuite.com. You set your tweets to a schedule. It's a great way to be tweeting while you're off doing other things. Don't have much experience with Clickbank but if you learn how to find and target the twitter users in your niche and begin interacting with them, it's all down hill from there.

There's no real secret when it comes to marketing on Twitter. Choose a product and make a page about it or a range of related products. Offer value to the followers, and occasionally post the links with info you are giving out. There are various URL shortening services out there you can use.

There's not a lot to it.
Follow people in your niche and they may follow you back.
Then Tweet out your link to your followers, but don't do it all the time.
Once a day is enough.

Let me try to rephrase it.... If there is no list, no website, no Facebook account with lots of friends/groups/pages, then is it still possible to make money as Clickbank affiliate? How?
Same question about MaxBounty, if anyone has some good success with it.

yeah twitter is used to basically blurt out your thoughts at any given time. Selling through that channel is a waste of time, however building a list on something that makes sense or solves a problem will convert.

If you are building Twitter followers with followback you are mostly being followed by bots, muted and nobody is actually even seeing your tweets.

Even if somebody tried to use Twitter as intended but used "follow me, I'll follow you" as method of building followers, how many people do you think normal person could follow and interact with? How long before person who watched your tweets just unfollows you because they are not interested in somebody tweeting just links, or where majority of tweets are filler.

Twitter has its uses, both personal and business oriented (and two should be kept separate, on separate accounts), but direct sales through affiliate links is not one of those uses that will succeed there.
