What kind of website do I need to sell my fitness programs?

Hi, I'm a part time PT but have a huge interest in online marketing.

Having spent that last 2 years taking a personal trainer / nutrition course while losing a significant amount of weight I am in the process of opening my website selling fitness programs.

With the backing of my own marketing/fitness knowledge and some other people on board to help me out I want to create a site with a good comprehensive video presentation, written content and my exercise routines in the form of an eBook below.

My question is, which of the following should a website of this nature be closest to?

1. A site identical to a ClickBank sales page - one page with the video at the top, the copywriten content and Add To Cart at the bottom?

2. A standard wordpress site with a good menu and various different pages of content pertaining to health, fitness and weight loss.

3. A standard personal trainer website like any PT living in a city would have for hire only that I happen to be selling my ebook through this?

Thanks, I want to do this the right way.

You are over thinking it. You need your offer via ebook, a way to advertise (try facebook) and backend offer to up sell (expensive fitness programs). There is your six figure business right there!

Just make sure you get your market research down...otherwise you will be wasting your money.

What is your purpose - affiliate sales, local clients, or both?

If you want local clients, I think a blog with pictures of recent sessions would be useful. The testimonial factor and demystification of what to expect in a workout.

If affiliate only, then laser focus on your program - a sales page may suffice.

Well the website would be for worldwide sales only, I wouldn't be looking for affiliates on this site immediately, but out of my 3 options in my question I am starting to think that the clickbank sales page look might be the best? I mean just to make sales?

      Any opinions appreciated.

I know you dont want to hear this, but you need to test, what I mean, why not create a salesy landing page (SLP) Vs a blog site (a blog with only 3-5 pages). The blog can have image ads directing customers to your offer/optin, whatever. The SLP can be a bit more hard sell with videos and testimonies ect, just copy clickbank offers, find what is working and do the same. RE blog: make it less heavy sell and more of information with old style "click here to lose weight and build muscle" kind of thing. Test, test and test.

Personally, when it comes to fitness, I like to get as much information before I buy, so why not do that on the blog site.
