Hey guys
I want to hear your opinion on something.
I'm currently on a roadtrip for the weekend, helping a buddy move which involves sitting in a Uhaul truck for 10 hours a day...

I have my phone's internet tethered to my laptop and have unlimited data on a 4g network, and 30 hours of nothing to do. I figured I'd put something into action, as internet marketers say utilizing action is the most important aspect of IM.

So, what would you do (Internet Marketing-wise) if you had 30 hours of absolutely nothing to do, ~$50-$100 you don't mind investing, and enough energy drinks to give a horse a heart attack?

I'd probably build a free product in a niche you're interested in so you can start to build a list. Or if you already have a list, create a (paid) product for said niche. 30 hours is enough time to make something pretty decent if it's a niche you're actually passionate about.

I like it. I'm not too familiar with niche popularity, which of these do you think would be more profitable? (These are things I'm passionate/interested about)

Anything Fitness related (Feels like its to saturated. But maybe using a twitter scraper I can grab people?)
      Cognition
      Meditation
Psychology (Bodylanguage, neurolinguistic programming, pick up artist, etc.)

Not to burst your bubble, but passion does not equal expertise. In almost every single one of those niches you listed I can name true experts. Experts that live, eat, and breathe the topic.

Instead, I'm going to make a suggestion to you, to download a Kindle book and spend that time reading it. I wish I could have read this book when I was 19/20 years old. Hell, I wish someone had suggested this book to me just 2 short years ago, long story as to why, but let's just say I wasted a lot of income potential and time and if I had read this book before I made the decision I did, I would have never, ever, made that decision and would have come out so far ahead.

Anyway, it's not an affiliate link and I have no vested interest, and the kindle version is less than most WSO's:

The Millionaire Fastlane: Crack the Code to Wealth and Live Rich for a Lifetime.

The Millionaire Fastlane: Crack the Code to...The Millionaire Fastlane: Crack the Code to...
You'll see the book has almost nothing but high ratings, and deservedly so. If you truly read it, you'll understand why I suggested this book to you in a thread when you are talking about pursuing something you're "passionate" about. It's all inside the book.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm reading it as we speak.

As far as creating a product, as others have said- Wouldn't it make more sense to use a good PLR ebook to give away, then upsell your own ebook after?

Finish the book, then see where your head's at as far as that kind of business model when you're done.

You're welcome and try to recommend that book to as many people as you can, especially if they're still in high school and college or just out of college.

Yes, THIS. The Millionaire Fastlane is a great book, and I highly suggest it to anyone that wants to get into business. I've been reading it through a second time myself.

By the way, go easy on those energy drinks

For me to help a buddy move they would have to be a very dear friend.

Not sure I could become too consumed with a project if I had the opportunity to spend that much time with a dear friend of mine.

To go off a few points here... I'd say make your own product in that time. The brilliance here is that when you sell an ebook, you are selling content curation: any of the information you can find in say 95% of books/ ebooks is readily available on the internet, you just have to go find it.

Having said that, don't worry if you're not an expert or a guru. Maybe your opinion isn't all that credible... that's fine, just cite other credible sources. Of course, this really varies on the niche you're targeting.

Quick example, say you wrote an ebook on how to play soccer well. You're not a professional athlete so it might be tough for you to explain why the best formation to play is 4-4-2 (subjective). Well, you go comb the internet, find some solid information (studies, statistics, etc) to more or less quantitatively prove your points.

The important point here: quantitative justification of points helps to negate the lack of credibility that you, yourself bring to the table.

    Just my $.02,
    Ben

Yes product creation would be the best option, but it takes too much time to do that,
how about pick a plr product and turn it into a new product and then sell it for profits.

    You have a problem.

"Sitting in a truck for 10 hours a day with nothing to do"

Do other people have the same problem? - Most likely.

Write an ebook about how to solve that problem.

If you don't have a info product yet, then use the time to at least make decent outlines of it, if you're not yet experienced or routinized in product creation.
If, on the other hand, you have a product, create marketing campaign and launch it. 100$ bucks or so would do it.
As a alternative solution, pick a product to promote as an affiliate, create marketing campaign, do some social posting, and it might work out fine.

    All the best,

    Veo

Well I just finished The Millionaire Fastlane. It was an absolutely fantastic book and I will definitely recommend this to anyone. I keep a notepad document on my phone where I write down ideas that popped into my head (These could be business ideas, strategies, anything).

I wrote down 53 of them while reading this book! LOL
