Is anyone running solo ad's with Mail chimp? Is it possible? How do you automate the process like you can with Aweber?

A solo ad is just a normal email message. So... of course that you can send solo ads But be sure that you read and comply with their Acceptable Use Policy (read the section Prohibited Content).

Yes you can if I am understanding what your asking correctly. Is what you asking for is the autoresponder part of mailchimp?

I used mailchimp for about a day but I am pretty sure you have to upgrade and pay to use their autoresponder. If you just want to broadcast that's free.

I personally don't like mailchimp... just from some experiences.

I used to use Aweber & they are good.

Now I'm using Get Response. I LOVE THEM. You can get a free 30 day trial (don't need a credit card) and they will provide you with all you need whether it be an autoresponder or just a broadcast

      Hope this helps,

      David

"Solo ad" will have a new meaning if you're not careful. MailChimp doesn't allow affiliate marketing, and it doesn't allow marketing for a number of hot niches:

    Escort and dating services
    Pharmaceutical products
Work from home, make money on online, and lead generation opportunities
Online trading, day trading tips, or stock market-related content
    Gambling services or products
    Multi-level marketing
    Affiliate marketing
Credit repair and get out of debt opportunities
    Mortgages and loans
    Nutritional, herbal, and vitamin supplements
    Adult novelty items or references
List brokers or list rental services
What's interesting is that "Work from home, make money on online, and lead generation opportunities" used to be "Get-rich-quick or work-at-home schemes." Evolution is toward the more anal.

Your sig indicates that item #4 may apply to you.

Best to avoid MailChimp altogether, IMO.

I built my list using mail Chimp. What I meant is can you track your solo ad's or automate the process so that Mail Chimp will send emails until the link gets X amount of clicks?
