Article timing

by DavidO 4 replies
When publishing my new articles is it more beneficial to publish them on my website first and get credit for new original content?

Then publish them on EZA and/or other sites for the backlinks only after they've been indexed on my site?

Or does it make any difference?

Yes, if you want to get your website indexed and you want the search engines to give it priority, that's what''s advised. Publish it on your blog/website first, then submit to the search engines.

If a visitor reaches your website first from the search engines, you essentially eliminate the middleman that is the article directory.

So that's the thinking behind that.

You are on the money and Fabian is quite correct!
To get an extra bonus - just edit or re-write your unique article by 30-40% and then submit to the directories! It will be unique again!

I do the opposite. I publish on EZA first and then MAYBE, if it's a really GREAT
article, I'll publish it on my site.

This strategy has worked like gangbusters for me for years now.

Will it work for you? I have no idea. But personally, I would never do it the
        other way around.

I have not seen a difference in getting an article posted on your site first vs. posting on ADs first. There is always the rare anomoly, but in general, no difference.

...and I have been watching thousands of them.

Every day I check the obituaries. If I don't see my name there, then I know it's going to be a good day!

I wouldn't use my site articles to post on directories? Why not rewrite your website content before submitting it? The last thing you want is for your own site to compete with your marketing articles.
