Bum Marketing - $3000 in a month?

by xohaibx 25 replies
Hi Warriors,

First of all, I just love this place, it's got amazing bulk of useful knowledge contributed by people who have "actually" made money online.

I recently came across "The Newbie Blueprint" by Daniel Molano (a warrior). I went through his report and he says he made $3,000 his first month with nothing but Bum Marketing - Writing 280 articles in 30 days, promoting 5 different Clickbank products in different niches.

My question: Is this realistically achievable?

Thanks,
Mustafa

I know it does depend upon your niche and how many competiotrs you have for it. Some people can get on google #1 spot with only a few articles others takes months worth of articles!

      For your consideration...

Three essays, 900 words total, in an hour and you achieve quality? Truly? And you intend to repeat this every day, I assume a full day's labor, for a month?? If it works, for many more months I presume?

When will you do your reading, your interviewing, your sifting, your thinking, in short, your research? Nights?

If you're willing to work that hard, why not become a doctor?

Yes I do achieve quality and I have my own method of writing articles fast, backed with years of experience. I complete my research and have the information in place, organized, before I start writing, which makes it easier.

I appreciate your "concern" but I'd rather have someone help me out in a genuine way rather than make such statements. And yes, every field has hard work, it's not just that doctors work that hard. It's about what you are passionate about and your own interest.

900 words in an hour is no problem to many who write articles. Take a look at Steven Wagenheim and many of the other prolific article writers here on the forum. I wrote 4 x 400 word articles this morning in an hour and they were very good quality (even if I do say so myself).

900 words in an hour is no problem for me, either, I type 65 wpm. Glad to hear you're achieving "very good" quality, the world can always use more of that!

It is definitely possible but you need to select your niches carefully.

If you pick a niche that doesn't convert well then it won't help even if you can churn lots of articles every day. And you may not achieve your target of $3000 per month right from the word go. It will take some time to figure out what works and what doesn't.. I understand that you have created lots of content websites but there's a difference between creating content sites and article marketing. So you need to hang in there...

But all said, $3000 per month is not an impossible target....

            Good luck,

Have you seen Steven Wagenheim's articles? He can write 4 articles per hour and all of them are of incredible quality, heck all his 1,000+ articles in EZA are amazing. Of course none of us are at his level, but it is quite possible to write 5 fantastic articles in 2 hours and therefore 10 in 4 hours with little to no experince (it might take a while longer at first though, but practice makes perfect).

Math 101 here. You call this work "that hard"? Well let's see, any average full time job requires you to work at least 8 hours and you get payed like 1/4 of what you can make with article marketing in 4 hours (2 hours at the level of Wagenheim).

A doctor takes like 12 years to be able to work as one and then he gets payed like $3,000 for his first few years working a 16 hour/day job.

That is the same you can achieve with a method like mine in 1 MONTH for 4 hours per day worth of work WITHOUT including weekends. Now I'm not saying my method is the best, but it works for me and has worked for many others.

With the mentality that this type of work is "that hard" you won't be making much ever.

Sooner or later everyone realizes that there is no such thing as a magic button, system, report, e-book or whatever that will make them rich overnight, especially not with 100% free methods.

        Best of luck,

Where the hell did you get that number? You have to be kidding me.

I'm making that much with 280 articles. If I wrote 3,120 articles in a year I would be making 10x as much.

It's not like the articles dissapear, they stay there and they stay indexed. It adds up. If you stop submitting, of course the income will decrease but with a volume of 3,000+ articles, the passive residual income will be much higher than $3,000/month.

Don't speak of what you haven't even tried.

      Hi Mustafa,

It's definitely possible - there's no upward limit to what you can make with bum marketing, and just about any kind of marketing also.

It sounds like you've got the hard work part covered, so I won't tell you that you have to bust your ass writing articles 24/7, as it sounds like you are well aware of that...

What I will tell you though, is to pay attention to what's happening as you are writing and submitting articles etc...some articles will prove very successful, others basically won't amount to anything except a small amount of residual traffic...

The trick to being successful is to analyse the successful ones and try to replicate that success-so over time, the overrall amount of successful articles you have will rise, and so will your income.

Yes, you can make $3000 in a single month from solely article writing, but you can also make zip...

I followed a diary a few months ago by a guy on another forum - he gave himself 2 months to become full time at IM through article marketing alone, and man he worked HARD.

By the end of the 2 months he had like 600 articles live at EZA, which is impressive...

      But guess what?

He made just over $400. Not even $400 a month. Just $400. I think it was like $405 total...

Hundreds of hours of work for $400, all because he worked hard but didn't work smart, he didn't adapt as he went along and learn to change his resource boxes and the style of article etc...he just churned out hundreds of articles that weren't very good when it came to making money...

Hope that's useful for you mustafa...good luck

      David

Thank you for your valuable feedback to my question. I totally understand what you mean. It's all about keeping your eyes open on what's working and what's not, testing and replicating what's working. That's like working hard but with a sense of direction. Thanks for the example too! It was very helpful I'll definitely not jump into it blindly.

I won't say it's impossible BUT if you've never made any money with Bum Marketing before then I'd say it's going to be difficult.

I could certainly do it now that I have plenty of article marketing experience, but I couldn't have achieved that when I first started writing articles.

How much experience writing articles do you have? Can you create a landing page with a presell that converts?

I have got years of experience writing articles. I used to flip turn-key content websites on DP. Since the "brand new site for sale" market has died down, I no longer do it. And I also write articles for clients. Even though I am new to the whole bum marketing thing, I have good level of knowledge in IM and I am not a complete beginner as such.

So yes I can create a landing page with a presell.

Okay, that's good - however there's a difference between articles for content websites/client articles and bum marketing articles. Writing a presell that converts takes practice though. When I started out with article marketing I could write excellent articles, unfortunately they weren't quite the right style to pull in sales.

You probably won't know how well you'll do at it until you just do it. I would go with writing 10 articles a day - test and track as much as possible, and even if you don't make $3000 then you'll have found out what works and what doesn't. That'll be worth alot to you in the long run, and the skills you'll learn from article marketing will benefit you in many other areas of IM as well.

Thanks for the advice Martin. I get what you mean by writing a presell that converts. Apart from article writing, I did some copy writing too. So yes, I think I can practice and work on that.

Churning out articles is not enough if you don't sell the click. These things are important for getting views and clicks:

    1) Title: If you can't write an enticing title then the article won't get readers at all.

    2) Article: Hardly anybody clicks on a resource box of a crap article.

    3) Resource Box: If you get readers but can't write a benefit driven resource box then they won't click

This makes the difference between getting a few or a few hundred clicks per article.

Small articles are the best, try focus on the "buyer keywords"
Submit to go articles as well.
