Any JVZoo Vendors? Quick Question Please

Hey all =)

A Quick question for any other Warriors who are vendors on JVZoo -

If you approve an affiliate for instant commissions, do you know of any reason why their commissions would still be held and have to be released via my sellers dashboard manually?

I'm still new to JVZoo and learning the ropes. I've had a support ticket in and waiting for response, but this situation has me baffled. I'm hoping another JVZoo vendor might be able to shed some light on it.

Thanks in advance!

Jennifer

I'm presuming that you have seen this page Funnels/Product Approval For Affiliates And AdjustIng Commissions - Powered by Kayako Resolve Help Desk Software but thought I'd link in case you haven't.

It sounds like a glitch in JVZoo, if the affiliate is showing as Instant, so can't really help. Maybe log out and try setting from a different browser . . . clutching at straws here

    Hi PotPieGirl

I am JVZoo seller and I am in the same situation. The commissions usually sent to the affiliates automatically, but sometimes I need to do it manually.

    Thanks

I have been working with PayPal's adaptive API with Chain Payments for a couple of years now. One thing that may cause this problem is if the affiliate does not have a verified business account with PayPal.

I don't believe PayPal allows these PayPal merchants to be paid instantly. It is a way to protect not only PayPal from fraud but it also protects the vendor.

It takes a lot more work for a fraudster to verifiy an account so it makes it safer for you the vendor.

You hear all these horror stories about people trying to pull fraud on vendors, which is suppose to be the reason for delayed payments in the first place.

but I have not heard of an actual case as PayPal does a pretty good job at limiting the risk of a vendor.

So they may have an unverified business account.

    Best regards,

There could be another reason why an affiliate may not be paid instantly.

I'm not sure how JVZoo's software works, but my software will not pay instant payments if an affiliate has not granted refund permission or removed refund permission at PayPal.

So you may not want to pay affiliates that have not been paid instantly until after you have them wait the 45 day PayPal refund limit.

This will help protect you from the scammers.

    Best regards,

Does it say instant next to the affiliates name even when you look them up under the Your Affiliates link? You can find this under the Sellers Tab and in the drop down from Affiliate Options.

You may have just accidentally clicked delayed. I've done that before. Other than that, I've never experienced that problem before.

    Hi.

You might have them set instant on one product but not on all your products. This happens because they have to apply for each product. It's annoying for me as well but happens. There is a way to set certain affiliates as always instant. Just look it up on the website and you should find it. Good luck.

Funny to see this post right after I signed up as a JVZoo vendor myself to sell my royalty free music package.

I agree that it could be someone with an unverified Paypal account. Maybe JVZoo errs on the side of caution and delays their payments no matter what you select.

Im a JVZoo vendor with hundreds of sales. There may be a different reason behind this but Im inclined to believe that its just a problem with JVZoo itself. The reason I believe this is because the JVZoo platform is at best 'buggy' there are tons of things that dont work correctly with it. Basic site functions do not work, reporting is often wrong, and they seem to have no interest in fixing it in any way. There focus seems to be more on squeezing every dollar they can out of sellers and not to be providing a quality platform.

So while this may be a thing with PayPal I dont find it in any way difficult to believe its just another in a long list of bugs with JVZoo itself.
