I want to start selling a lead generation software on WF soon, so I want you guys to test it out. I will give you free versions, just PM me and lets talk about the details.

We're not going to be crash test dummies.

Seriously, there's no way any of the mods are going to test and/or endorse a product or service in any official capacity. That would be way too big a potential conflict of interest, even if we were certain the results would be typical of what other members might see in the future. And that's not exactly a given.

You need to either get other people to test it for you or just sell the thing and get testimonials and feedback from paying customers.

Speaking unofficially, I am very leery of automated lead generation systems to begin with. They almost always end up being "scrape and spam" tools. I wouldn't touch a blind offer like this even if it weren't made here.

not the way to go about this. there is a place to post for warriors to review your items its called warriors for hire. You can also do beta testing. It costs $20 but you will benefit greatly. Just for your info don't give people your free version. Give them your paid version it will only benefit you more to get good and better honest reviews.

    Claire,

Actually, that kind of ad goes in the Wanted - Members Looking To Hire You section, and it's only $5.

We'd have created a free section for these, but you know how that would have turned out. A "free for all" of phony review requests that were really nothing but ads. Sort of like people try to do in the free ebook section and the JV sub-forum...

Ok, thanks for the replies, guys. No, I'm not giving out a free version, but the full paid version. Its not even like betatesting, since everything works as it should. I just wanted to hear some ideas and tips on what to do better maybe.

My suggestion then would be to look at your own network of contacts and see who you know that would benefit from the product. Ask them to work it over for you. Just make sure they're clear that you're looking for suggestions for improvement, and not "buddy testimonials."

Barring that, a "reviewers wanted" ad could be a good idea, but be careful of who you give copies to.

Friends or familiar associates are solid sources of feedback. Or better yet, people who have given you honest criticism in the past. When it comes to making things better, an honest critic is your best friend.
