I've got a great site which gets a nice stable income currently but I want to improve it, to do that I need investors. Where is the best place to find an investor?

  • Why not reinvest the income you are currently making and outsource whatever work you can't do yourself or need done?

    Why

You have a great site and a stable income, why do you need more investment, what are you going to do with that investment, and what are you currently doing with the sales you are making.

You will need to let people know these things as its the first thing they will ask, they will also need to know what is in it for them if they did invest

    • You also say you want to improve it, but how? Do you already have ideas to improve it and a game plan? It all starts with ideas, planning, getting inspired.. then I would invest in yourself if you believe in your site.. I mean if you are currently making an income why not just save until you have enough for the improvements?

It would take at least a year to get the investment I need.

Mainly seo and to rank the site for some top keywords. I've got a really good plan and I've worked everything out, like expected profit, expected clicks, expected conversions. I currently make around a $900 per month. With this investment, expected profit per month would be around $4000-9000. This is guaranteed and around $4000 is the worst case scenario. I'm looking for an investment of around $10,000. I don't know how to get these investors though, I know about angel investment networks but I don't prefer them!

Hm, let's say you find a place full of investors, I don't think anybody would bite when your strategy relies solely (or even mainly) on SEO. Nothing is certain and guaranteed with SEO. I've had sites making four figures per month constantly, relying only on traffic from big G... and then boom - the next algorithm update decided not to like some of them.. byebye revenue.

If you are serious about finding an investor you would need a more diversified business plan. Nobody will bite if you are relying on a single source of income, especially not if it's one as volatile as SEO. My advise would be to add other sources of income (other sources of traffic) before approaching investors, try to include ppc/ppv, media buying and maybe even affiliates if possible. Chances for someone to invest in your site will be a lot better with multiple sources of income.
