Affiliate Programs Cost To Get Started

How much do you need to put in an affiliate program account to get started? Which affiliate program is best? Is offering a 20% commission on a physical product that will cost around $65 an incentive for affiliate marketers to want to try to get my product sales? My niche market is in the weight loss niche if this helps.

Considering how competitive your niche is, it's probably a better idea to offer a high commission (like 75%). How do you make money? You build a list off leads that buy and leads that failed to enter payment info

if you have a good back end product (upsell or OTO) then you can offer high % commissions to your affiliates (even %100 commission), all you have to do is test and split test your product before you offer such a high percentage to make sure that your back-end offer will convert good as well. but in case of "physical products" i think that %20-%30 is very good % indeed! but as i said you can raise this % a bit if you have a good back-end offer in blace

that's my thoughts and it can be right or wrong

Offering 20% on a physical product is good, especially when you compare it to places like Amazon. With that said, an affiliate will not want to promote it unless there is already a lot of search out there for the product with little competition.

Doing high volume and possibly cross promoting similar items are how marketers that sell physical products make up for the low commissions (when compared to digital products, where you earn like 50% - 75% per sale and even more from up-sells and residuals.
