  • ask him what he uses
  • Wire transfer, western union, moneybookers..it really depends on what he uses.
  • Perfect money is the best for you. there is no dispute system
  • what abt 2checkout? It accepts paypal (i don't need to dispute, i know who is at the other side, it's a long-term cooperation) that should be good and fast, isn't it?

    Thanks

  • You can use 2checkout if only the seller has a 2checkout account. The fastest way probably would have to be Bank Transfer.

    • in other words, i need to pay with paypal and he should open an account to a system that accepts paypal
  • If no PayPal, no Payza, Skrill, U.S bank account, Payoneer then there isn't much you can do other than a bank wire.
  • No PayPal, no Payza, Skrill, U.S bank account, Payoneer then you have to wonder why... Let your writer signup with freelancing sites like freelancer.com, elance.com etc. they have various payment system plus using them is an added security for both of you.

    • Have you already found one?
If not, then look here for more options. You can check from the list of over 10 credit card companies as an alternative to Paypal, Payza or Payoneer.

It has a comparison of all the features, services and fees.

Am I the only one who hears some sort of alarm bell ringing, here? How (and why?) can a US-based copywriter have no PayPal account? Have you asked him how his clients normally pay? Call me a judgemental skepchick, but I'd want to see at least a first draft of the "copy", in these circumstances, before paying anything at all, by any means. And especially by any means without a refund/chargeback facility available.

Why is it your responsibility, as the buyer, to find a payment method, anyway?

It seems to me that some caution is perhaps indicated, here, unless this is a known, reliable copywriter with whom you've done business before.

    • Exactly my question ... You need to really be careful when dealing with someone like that because it's really easy to get scammed out of your hard earned money.
  • You Can Pay him directly to his Bank account, Just ask for it.

    • I think Paypal sends money to an email address even if the person doesn't have an account. no?

Yes, but not if they've had one and been banned.

And after doing that, they still have to open an account to receive the money anyway.

Do you think a "US copywriter" who hasn't (for some reason?!) got a PayPal account is going to be able to do that? Why wouldn't he have done it already, if he could? How do you think all his other copywriting clients pay him?

And why is it incumbent on the buyer to find a payment method, anyway? What kind of way of doing business is this?

You can if you want to give up all the normal buyer's protections and insurances that you have when you pay people online, yes. Which is why I'm asking if I'm the only one who hears alarm bells ringing, here?

Wake up, guys: surely you don't need to be a skepchick like me to smell that something's probably very wrong here?
