Affiliate Program Question I Need Help Please

What are the best affiliate programs and how much does it cost to open an account so affiliates can start marketing my product? Is 20% commission on a $65 sale a big enough incentive for affiliates? I am selling a physical herbal product. I was told that to open an affiliate account that you needed to put $2000 in that account to cover affiliate commissions. Is that true? How How does click bank make there money and how much do they charge for using their service. I look forward to your responses.

If you're referring to an information product and depending on the market Clickbank is good to start with ($50.00 to set up) however, if the product is online marketing related then JVZoo.com is a good place to list (free) as well as running it through warriorplus>>WSO ($40.00), again, that is if it is an information product.

    Hope that helps

Clickbank, Amazon, MarketHealth, MaxBounty... there are 4 diverse and quality affialiate networks.

As to your question of 20% on a $65/sale... that could be great or horrible, depends how well it converts, you really won't know till you test it.

One of the dangers of Internet marketing is believing what you are told, especially by those who try hard to let you know they are experts.

    Good luck,

Which part of the words "I am selling a physical herbal product" confused you?

Did you also not read the OP at all? We can all see that you're struggling to get as many posts on the board in a single day as you possibly can, but there's no rule against reading what you're replying to, you know?

What's the matter with everyone, today? Or is it me? (Always possible ...)

This post may possibly help you, I think: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post8567178

What matters is which one is the best one that will accept your product and pay the affiliates in an automated way, out of the takings, so that they're not reliant on an unknown vendor for payment.

I don't know the herbal market and may therefore be totally wrong, but my guess is that it's nowhere near enough to attract any serious affiliates at all. At $13 per sale, I imagine that serious, pro-affiliates won't even be willing to look. Again, I may be wrong.

Steve already answered this one above, and very politely, as is his way.

They make some by selling advertising space on their site, some by hosting people's sites for them (this is a "new thing" for them), and a little in product listing-fees, but the overwhelming majority of it they make on a "per sale basis" by charging 7.5% + $1 per sale processed. They won't accept your product, though, I think.

It depends where you are listing it ?If you list it with Clickbank then 70% I think is the norm .Well what the big guys are doing anyway .

Have to agree with Alexa on the pricing/commission.

Is there a way for you to set up a sales funnel of some sort? If so, your front-end commission could be in the 70% to 80% range, and you can then make more on the back-end sales.

Maybe the OP referring to Commission Junction where they require you to provide some kind of bond/cash to run an affiliate program with them.

With clickbank, you can sell digital products and other shippable media like dvd and printed materials. They do charge $49 (one time fee).

I would offer more than 20% for your $65 product. A $13 commission doesn't really tickle my fancy. If Clickbank would allow me to give 100% commission for my $27 product, i would offer 100%. But the highest they allow me to go is 75%, so i offer 75% commission, and i sell slew of them on my end. I just want the customer for backend sales - since this is where the bulk of my money will come from.

Consider Clickbank though. And even consider a different type of product.
