How Difficult is it to Sell a Product Using Clickbank?

To sell a product? Not hard at all. Put up a sales letter and pay your fee to Clickbank.

The trick of it is getting people to promote your product once it's up.

First set up a quality landing page and sales funnel, then promote your product and drive traffic to it and see if you can generate sales on your own. If you can do that then clickbank will be just fine, but you have to make sure the product can sell. Clickbank is not a magic solution, and you will probably be your own best affiliate.

The technical aspects of setting up a cb sales site, creating a product, and getting approved by clickbank are relatively easy. Especially since (a) tons of people have done it before, and (b) there are tolstoy and tutorials to help with many of the steps. Plus (c) you only have to do it once.

So it's easy to sell a product.

The hard bit is selling lots of product. And like anything else in sales, it's up to you to make a go of it. Nobody else is going to do all the work for you, not even click bank's affiliates (which isn't to say that can't generate some sales, just that you can't rely on them to do all the work),

You are the number 1 expert in the world on your product. And you are the number 1 most motivated person to sell it. So there really is nobody better than you to drive sales.

Bad affiliates pick up only/mostly hot products and ignore the new little guy, but that isn't relevant to you, because they don't make (m)any sales anyway. 95% of the affiliates sell almost nothing. The remaining 5% (actually fewer) are the serious, pro-affiliates who collectively make almost all the sales. They're not interested in whether or not it's a hot product. They're interested in whether it's a good-quality product with a good-quality sales page which will convert their targeted traffic. So don't be put off by "what most affiliates will do", because "most affiliates" don't make any money (for themselves or for the vendors) anyway.

No, but they're also not trivial. You have to pay $50 once, to list your product (you pay it only after the product's been approved), and then they take 7.5% + $1 per item sold, and what's left after that's deducted from the retail price is then divided between the vendor and the affiliate in the proportions specified by the vendor.

Getting affiliates to promote your product on CB is a matter of PROOF!

You've got to have perfectly-positioned copy, a website design that compliments it or a video that's produced to maximize the emotion in your script.

Then you need to drive different types of traffic onto your site and collect data.

If your conversions are solid, you'll be able to utilize those numbers in your affiliate pitch page and attract the kind of partners that explode your profitability.

But the key is:

Knowing HOW to drive targeted traffic that provides a healthy ROI.

When you're a CB product owner, you're gonna wear many hats.

So start doing your research now.

You need a lot of promotion and you can attract affiliates but the process of getting it up there on clickbank shouldnt be that hard

Most affiliates disregard new products. You have to promote your affiliate program everywhere, besides proving that your sales letters convert.

The beginning is hard.

Make a hot product and affiliates WILL promote. Don't have a lil guy mindset. GO BIG OR GO HOME!

Make a big splash and affiliates will promote IF your product has....

1. HIGH perceived value
2. HIGH actual value

Be generous to your affiliates and give them EVERYTHING they need to succeed. Thats how you will be successful with that!

I personally get more sales from MY own marketing my product than affiliates do. It's not difficult to sell on Clickbank. Just make sure you supply your affiliates the marketing tools necessary to sell your product successfully.

It depends on the product itself.
There are many products there and some with little in the way of sales.
Test it from your own site first to see if there is any demand.

I recently put an ebook on Zaxaa. I considered clickbank, but decided it was too pricey since my ebook was really just a test for my market.

You can list your ebook(s) on Zaxaa for free (they take a small percentage or 25cents, whichever is greater - after your product sells), and they do have an affiliate program. It's a fairly new site so they're not as big as clickbank, but the price is right and it's a great way to test your ebooks.

I don't have an affiliate program right now and chose not to use the affiliate option on Zaxaa, and my ebook is still selling.
