Hello!
Recently I joined some JV listings for upcoming products and Ive chosen a product I want to promote via my website.
The question is-how will I get enough information about the products in order to promote them? write a review about them and etc.
Thanks.

    You could BUY IT

    LOL..

All jokes aside, most REVIEWERS buy the product before they do a review. If it's a product that hasn't launched yet, most affiliates will contact the vender and see if they can get a review copy; or even buy one early.

If you do good, chances are, you can get access to early on their next product

Seems like there is a lot of money spending before you get a new site up and running...

That depends on the site and how you go about things.

Domains are about $9/$10 per year.

There's adequate, reliable, professional, advertising-free, well-established free hosting available at sites like Byethost, Freehostia and 000WebHost, if you want to try it. But normal "commercial hosting" is readily available for around $4/$5 per month.

What "other things around it"? The only other ongoing expense you need (and this one you really do need, if you want to make money from affiliate marketing) is a subscription to an autoresponder. GetResponse will give you the first month free, and then it's only $15 per month after that, so that gives you two months to earn your first $15 to cover the cost. A business that doesn't take $15 in two months may not go far?

You're setting up a business here, you know? The entry-level costs for setting up an internet marketing business are phenomenally low!

Sometimes you can get "review copies", and here are some suggestion regarding "how to ask": http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post3641838

If you're new to IM, you certainly shouldn't be promoting IM-related products. That's hardly a recipe for success. In fact it's almost certainly the single commonest mistake made by beginning marketers, and the single biggest reason underlying their failures.

For myself, I don't promote anything new at all. Ever. I make a Whole Big Issue out of reassuring all my subscribers, customers and visitors that I promise never to promote anything new to them at all, so they can be certain that everything I ever promote is tried, tested and well proven to work. People love this reassurance - it gives me very high open-rates for the emails in which I recommend products. It also helps me to come across to my prospective customers as someone who isn't jumping on to any bandwagons to chase a fast buck. And that's exactly the kind of thing customers want to hear. Little things like this can have a very big effect on your income, when you're an affiliate. Have a think about it?

Dennisknows (above) hit the nail on the head. No joking at all!

Doesn't it make sense that if you're going to review a product and promote it to prospects that you have at least tried the product out? How else are you going to truthfully review it?

Don't rely on the product itself to give you all the information you need for a helpful review. That's certainly NOT what the potential buyer wants.

Understand the difference between product features (which can come from the manufacturer) and product benefits which are corroborated by those unbiased 3rd parties who have actually tried the product and can give a truthful and objective opinion about it's usefulness.

Good luck as you begin your IM career.
