Please help me update my former online biz
Hi guys, I'm an idiot. Several years ago (EZA was THE way to drive traffic then, it was so long ago) I had a website in the self defense niche that was making money. Not millions, or even thousands, mind you, but a few hundred per month, which, as we all know is the hard part.
Then I got involved in an offline businesses which just went under, so, here I am, back where I started, trying to start basically the same business that I already had running, but stopped.
Please review what I have considered in the past few days and let me know if the updates will work in today's world:
EZA articles linked to a squeeze page don't work anymore, so I should just post the articles as blog posts on my own wordpress blog, right?
Should I upload the blog to blog.business.com or directly as the index page of Business.com? I would really like to keep my index page free, so I can either use it for a squeeze page or, should I put a print ad in a martial arts magazine, keep the index page free for a sales page. What do you guys think?
In terms of traffic, I was thinking of posting YouTube videos, one per day to my channel and a print version of the same post to my blog, but where should it link the videos to? My blog? My squeeze page? My sales page? I have read that there are people who don't use squeeze pages anymore, they just get subscribers from the opt-in block on their blogs . . .
An email sales funnel still works, right? My old system was the following, and should still be effective, right? Squeeze page --> Thank you page with embedded thank you Video --> 5 automated emails with links to pages with embedded Videos (my free give aways) one email / Video per day for five days --> on the seventh day (two days after the last free Video) I sent out a "thank you for watching and let me know if you have any questions" email with the first link to a sales page
Like I said, I "used" to know what I was talking about, but things change and I just want to get your input before I just start going out hit and miss.

and here's a rough idea of how I was thinking about making my blog, when I decide where to upload it to: www.selfdefensestreetfighting.com
