Hi guys,

As above, i have some question regarding creating RSS Feed for static Html website.

what happen if the RSS Feeds that i create on static html [No updates] and submit to RSS aggregator deleted after 30 days of inactivity. Will my backlink count been reduced as well?
Or will my backlink stay there permanently even though the RSS Feed that submitted to RSS aggregator has been deleted?

Would really appreciate someone can help me out on this? I believe it's still stay..since they have already clawed and indexed the pages?

Yes they will be reduced. But I must ask, what is the point of setting up an RSS feed if you are not willing to update it? Regularly updated content are the whole jist of the purpose of RSS. If you are thinking of just having an RSS feed with links to your products or affiliate links and thinking submitting your feed to RSS directories is going to help you boost sales, I highly doubt it. In fact 90% of rss directories check the frontpage of your website to make sure it is some kind of content blog or CMS.

If your comments feed is integrated into your CMS then you would want to provide the comments rss feed, what CMS are you using?

Why not make a blog off your main domain (yourdomain.com/blog) then use something like caffienated content to update the blog on a regular basis.

I agree with coco, would be much easier to go the blog route. Easier to update and maintain.

    Guys,

Thanks for your help on this. Really appreciate it. Perhaps i manage to find out as i can just copy the Feed from the blog that i comment and submit to RSS directory to increase my backlinks which is also permanently. Instead of creating new RSS feed from 3rd party software.

Yup, i might be creating a blog instead of static html pre-sell page. going to blog route will be easier as well. Thanks guys!
