Home Based Business World - What does really work in 2013?

by itrend 23 replies
I get bombarded on a daily basis from my inbox and on FB, about some new program they join and made so much money. But which one has been truly working for the majority of members that joins a program. Not only the 10% that have experience in the business, or have a huge list. A Home Based Business that everybody wins.

Any thoughts?

The problem is that the products are out there... and some of them are great, but the marketing, lead generation, and lead management pieces are left up to you to figure out. The people that have figure those things usually make money in any and all those plans... most other people struggle or languish.

You are absolutely right! Don Glanville has solved this problem though. He provides traffic (top quality from huge media companies, etc.) and sales closers. So you pay a one time fee to the sales closer (only if they make the sale) and you get the monthly commission from then on...you can seriously just work on your scaling up strategy. Trust me, I've checked them all out, this is true gold and so much more to come! 22% conversions in beta...beta!
This is also a system you can plug in any other opportunity you might be involved in or just a basic business. There are no losers in this one.

This is confusing. Why are you looking for a program that works? If you're already training newbies, what are you teaching them?

e.g. I'm getting more success from one program than the other, by referring newbies into the program. Now If I new the stats before joining all those different programs, that whould saved me a lot of time and money. Thats why it would be very helpful, It theres like a tool that, can just scan the site and tell the success rates of members. Prob theres something like that out there, I'm just not aware of it!?

Yes and Farrell teaches to build a landing page and sell the opt-in. Building a list is the single most important thing to focus on.

It works because the money is in the list. After you get like 10,000 subscribers, you don't need to get traffic no more because you just market to your list.

Most program that I have seen teach you SEO (search engine optimazition). They also usually all encourage you to have good valuable content and build a list of prospect where you should focus on giving them value through a newsletter series while at the same time, promoting related products.

Chris Farrell doesn't teach SEO (well he has a section on keyword research and tell a little about ranking on page one in search engine), but his main goal as someone here already said is to build landing page with a free ebook as a gift to encourage people to sign up to his newsletter. With him you can either choose the one already done for you on his site or build your own following his instruction. He really make everything sound simple and be simple.

One thing I am seeing is this, much talk about tactics very little about strategies and the biggest thing is NO TALK about the passion that sparks the other two. 3% of Internet marketers make 90% of the money. WHen these guys have these huge lists and all this stuff you do not think they are tight and coordinated? Is it a coincidence?
Do not be hard on yourself at all. EVeryone gets distracted by the shiny things and forgets to ask what would I do if there was no internet where are my inherent talents and what can I offer than few other can and many other legit questions that come from actually knowing a subject better than anyone. That is when the money comes. Otherwise we all have better luck at Casinos at least there is a small chance machines pay out!

      Peace,

      Kyle

PS- I might have sounded negative but not at anyone here at all. I hope you find the perfect fit. You will I know you will.

Most programs work. The problem is that it takes a substantial amount of work and time to learn the things you need, to start earning a decent income.

These are the only words you need to take into account. I'll summarize them into two words: TAKE ACTION.

    Jesus christ!

When it comes down to results you the person are the one who are 100% responsible for it. It is you that make it work regardless of the thing you are doing. One might say this opportunity is bad but who knows what you might get if you cared enough to give it a try. Then you get those who say this opportunity rocks but you might do better or worse as it all comes down to you the person to get the success and results that you want. You can go with any business venture online and get success if you stick with it.

I sugest you and everyone else here should watch Bob Proctor in you were born rich which can be found on youtube for free. The best time spend and you need it!

  • Hi,

I saw your video where some scammer, or paid actor claims he turned a $10 bill into a million in just 9 months? What Utter Bull!!! Seriously do you actually think this guy, (tempted to say a******e?), is telling the truth because then you must also believe in fairies.

In answer to your question, WORK is what works with LEARNING being the work required but not from any of those get rich quick liars only after your cash!

As we always say to people asking such questions, join an online membership website with tons of training step by step videos and other benefits such as done for you websites, WordPress training, how to select a profitable niche, keyword research, choosing and registering a domain, autoresponders, email marketing, squeeze pages, video, images and so on.

Better to spend the next 4 to 6 months learning the basic skills than to waste any more time on money on any more get rich quick bull that only newbies and lazy fools fall for today.

Hope this helps you but we cannot soft soap people who think getting rich is easy or quick or indeed is the reason to get started because it should be to provide a service others need and this never is achievable without experience which takes time to attain.

    Stephen & Jennifer.

"Home" based businesses are changing to location-independent businesses; the workforce is mobile and can live where it's cheap, healthy, and fun. Why anyone would invest in a home (other than proximity to long term family and friends) is beyond me.

There is no program that works for the majority of the members that join the program. In every program, you will find 90-95% of the people not making any money or just breaking even. It's the other 5+/-% that reap the rewards from such programs.

That being stated, Home Based Business Opportunities are still a viable option for a great number of people. I like to point out the dismal success rates because I only want to deal with serious people who are willing to do what it takes to become one of the 5%...and I want people to know "What One Man Can Do, Another Can Do" so it is possible for the Average Joe to break the boundaries and join the ranks of the 5%.

It's really sad to see so many people falling for the sales letter and video dreams and thinking the company is going to make them money. It just doesn't work that way. The only way to make money with these done for you programs, is to take the program...and make it ten times better through your own creativity by making your own irresistible offers.

Everyone can't win. If everyone could, everyone would do it. When you join this industry, consider yourself a business owner and the buck stops with you. Your company products are not your business...YOU are your business and when you get that right, you become one of the 5%...eventually.

As far as I can tell, selling shiny new objects (online marketing opportunities) to newbies seems to be a fairly profitable model. The crux of the problem does not lie within the products necessarily, but within the personality type seeking the home-based business model thereby lending to the presumably low success rates.

I would equate it to 'trying out for the team.' Not everyone is going to make it and the top of the pyramid becomes exponentially smaller as you progress.

Persistence and perseverance rule the roost! If you truly want it, it can happen. Maybe not overnight or even within 5 years... or maybe my corporate job wasn't as bad as I thought... hmm.

While the success rate for online/home-based business opportunities may not be stellar, the upside potential far outweighs the initial risks and investment to get started.

Try opening a franchise or starting an independent brick and mortar and then you'll see some serious risk at play!

It would be easier to get specific answers if you'd have posted the names of those specific programs you're getting emails about.

Other than that, a business model that will always benefit people is promoting recurring programs (like Aweber, hosting programs etc).

  • There's a difference between selling "the dream" and actually showing people how to make money online. When I think of selling the dream I think of MLM / Network Marketing type of people looking to recruit others.

If you want a home-based business that will become a big hit, I suggest you focus on your marketing strategy. While it is true that having the right kind of niche would do some wonder, the overall success of it is still dependent upon how you market your niche. Why not consider using some SEO techniques to enhance you marketing strategies?
