These appear to be solid choices, as is Thesis if you're inclined to fork over the dough, but that's not me until my IM activities can pay for it.

Anthony Tilley pointed me toward WP Lead Plus in his Fresh Start video tutorial series where he does a great job of conducting a step by step walk through of setting up a landing page and thank you page with Aweber.

WP Lead Plus has a demo mode that will enable you to create a half ass squeeze page. As far as hunting around for something free that creates great looking squeeze pages in Wordpress, good luck, there I'm coming up empty.

I checked out a number of youtube tutorials that go two to five minutes with links to external sites then tell you they're using Optimze Press. Click. Goodbye.

I suppose I could upgrade from the default Wordpress editor I'm using to something with tables enabled then create my own graphics but it looks like spending the money is the way to go.

Until my business warrants it I'll stick with what I've done but I'm subscribing this thread in case something else pops up...

Which gives me a brain flash... setup the squeeze page as an .html page -WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE DONE INSIDE WORDPRESS!!

It doesn't. That idea alone is enough to send me off to the races. Remove Wordpress from the equation, just build the squeeze page and throw it in a separate directory. Now all the FREE resources that are typically NOT wordpress can be easily used.
