You should use "Quick Adsense" plugin for your wordpress plugin. It is free and you will be able to put many units in your post content area.

I wouldn't use a plugin for AdSense in your blog. There is too much of a chance that the plugin creator will put their AdSense on your site and take some of your revenue.

Personally, I would just edit the theme and put your AdSense code in there, either in a sidebar or at the end of each post.

You might want to have a rethink of your options xxx

Plug-ins are fast but they will put the same ads on every page you select. (but you do have the option to exclude pages by ID's)
If you want to use a plug-in though have a look at WP-Insert.

If putting the code in the page templates you will have the ads on every page (unless you then find out how to exclude pages from the WP templates, not easy for newbies)

By adding the Adsense script to a page or post manually via WP admin it allows you to be a lot more flexible and to test many different ad layouts at the same time on different pages.

Testing different ads is very important with Adsense, what works on one site may not work so well on another, only testing on your OWN will tell you the best ad combinations.

    Good luck
