My Strategy to Sell More Kindle Fiction

I have been working as an author (kindle fiction book) for several month. Then, I know a few tricks that's make me to get more sales. First, I publish my kindle book for $0.99. Second, run kdp promo for 2 days only. Third, STOP the promotion at the few hours before the end of promotion day. I recently using this method and I get 20-30 sales/book. Then, raise the price to $2.99. Your sales will decrease, but with 70% royalties, your income will be greater.

Thanks,
Thohir

Interesting strategy, thanks for posting! I'd never considered prematurely stopping a KDP promotion, but I'm definitely going to try this with my next book and a couple of old ones that haven't done much business recently.

I currently have a book for free on kindle, and I am using freebooksy for the promo. $2.99 gives you 70% commission. Therefore you are making approx $2 per book which is nice. I believe that as more people start making books free, selling them will become a lot harder as people are getting use to everything being free on the internet now.

Free ebooks have been around for over a decade now. Usually, this is a paid ebook that someone has decided to give away as a promotional tool. Anymore, it's hard to find an actual high quality ebook. So you really have nothing to worry about with this. Just offer the highest quality ebook possible. Kindle makes it easy to get sales by allowing the customer to preview the ebook. Ensure the pages being previewed showcase a good sample of what your book is about rather than just the title/contents page.

    Thohir...

I appreciate the share. That being said, I don't think I will copy this method. It seems too much like "gaming the system" to me. I want to leverage my efforts as much as the next person, but I don't want to take any shortcuts or try any loopholes that may come back to haunt me later on.

--->I can also write other fiction (horror, romance, mystery, etc). Just ask me, I don't bite. :)
