Market samurai keyword research help

So I've owned MS for about 2 years and never really got to use it to its full potential. Most times I have been just paying someone on Fiverr to find good keywords. (I know I know)

Anyhow, I have spent hours several times trying to find good YouTube videos teaching how to find low competition keywords... But none seem great. Everyone has their own idea and settings... I never know (or fully understand) the best settings to find great keywords.

And besides, the guys at MS keep updating the product and adding new features, which make it more complicated for me (not really complaining about the updates)

So if anyone has a good video source or can tell me the numbers and settings they use successfully (must be with the latest version), it would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, I can't really comment on settings in that tool, but I can tell you in general what to look for to find low competition keywords that are good, as we've coded one of the keyword tools inside of WebFire.com to do this...

Basically you want to first identify keywords that either have a lot of searches or are high value buyer type keywords. For instance, if "mopeds" have 100,000 searches a month (I'm making up the numbers now for this example) and "where to buy mopeds online" has only 200 searches a month, both would probably be good keywords to target pending how competitive they are because the second one will have a lot of buyers even though it's a lower number of searches.

Then as far as the competitiveness goes, this is where WebFire disagrees with a lot of the other tools out there that only look to see how many other websites there are that rank, how many advertisers there are, etc. (all of which don't really make a ton of sense). Instead, you want to look for how many sites are truly optimized to rank for the keyword(s) that you're targeting (as in they actually use the keywords vs. just ranking for them).

WebFire does that automatically and ranks them based on those factors, but you can do the same concept by hand -- it'll just take longer.
