Why my Alexa Rank keep on increasing?

Dear Experts,

I am highly disappointment about my Alexa Ranking. It's keep on increasing day by day. Currently , it is 96426.

But, everyday I drove 10K+ traffic everyday to my website from diferent sources such as Search Engines, Social Media and other quality referal's.

People who have drove only 5K per month has less no of Alexa Rank . But why my Alexa is gradually increasing? I really don't know how to control it!

Please provide me some valid suggestion!

    don't care too much about Alexa, it is not accurate. Alexa cannot differentiate human traffic and bot traffic, people who go to your site without alexa tool bar is hard to count.

      Yes, I knew it. But do you think the users of my competitors has Alexa Toolbar on their browser?? Then how do my competitor's Alexa no rank is better than me??

    Have a dedicated Alexa rank page or put the widget on your blog so that people searching for Alexa ranking will find it. People searching for the Alexa rank are more likely to have it installed on their search bar thus whenever they visit your site it will bump your ranking up. Might work...

    Maybe you are losing your visitors. Keep the visitors and collect new visitors to keep Alexa Rank.

    How much money are you generating?

    You say you've sent 10,000+ visitors a day to your site, which should be bringing you phenomenal money, you say you've done this via SEO and social media and yet, and this is where I'm absolutely dumbfounded, all you care about is the Alexa rank.

    If I was getting 10,000 visitors a day, there would be one thing I'd care about and that's converting them to buyers.

    I have never even looked at the Alexa rank of any of my sites and I never will. Sorry but if you take the time you clearly do worrying over Alexa rankings and focused on sales, you'd be far better off.

    You do realise that you're getting approximately 300,000 visits a month and 3,650,000 visits a year.

    Why do you care so much about your increasing Alexa rankings?

    I agree but surely the OP would be better off trying to focus on buyers, instead of people looking at sites to see what it's Alexa rank is?...What's more, with well on the way to 4 million visitors a year, surely that's a better use of the OP's time.

      But what my worry is that how my competitor has better Alexa rank than me. Even though he drove minimum no of traffic than me. Why he is good on alexa?

      What's the strategy he is doing on Alexa? I would like to explore the secret behind it..!

      I have found myself about how to improve Alexa Rankings such as..

      1. Alexa Toolbar to install our
      2. Alexa Widget to place on my website
      3. Update unique and quality contents frequently
      4. Traffic
      5. Alexa Review about our website ( but is it currently no more right?)

      Can you help me more on this???

        I can't sadly and if it's purely just to understand the science behind it, then I stand corrected.

        I'm also the last person that can help you as I'm a total dunce on the subject. I've no idea how they work it out or even what it's based on.

        Good luck finding out though, I'm sure someone can help you and you'll get a far greater understanding for it if you read the post Alexa links to in the post above, that also has some useful links to other posts you might find useful.

      Thanks for sharing the valuable link..!

      But my wish is to get good number alexa, SERP, PR, no of quality backlinks, quality design, quality content should be better than my competitor's.. That's why I am looking to find out the reason for increasing the Alexa Rank everyday.. If once i get the clear idea about Alexa and how it works, then I can easily beat my competitor's in this Alexa..!

        It doesn't mean anything worth knowing about. It doesn't relate to real traffic, to customers, to income, to how successful your business is, or to anything else worth knowing about. Beating your competitor's "Alexa ranking" will be as relevant to the relative successes of your business and his as what sort of milk you put in your coffee for breakfast.
