Acai berry in Yahoo messanger

I received several times message on YM promoting **** berry. At first when I receive the message from my friend, I though he was promoting **** berry. But then I realize something is wrong. I don't know what happened. My thought was I have virus in my computer, or someone knows my YM password, or someone knows my friend's password. I never click click the links on the YM message.

Here's the message :

Do you realize that If I would not have tried those **** berry pills that everyone is talking about that I would not have lost 23 pounds in just about two weeks now? Well they do work, I am living proof and they only cost five dollars over at url.com: Search with Many. (Note the link is not url . com)

What should I do guys? Thanks.

Your friend has not protected his details enough, probably caught by some sort of phishing scam.

Nealy all of my mates fall for those phishing scams, and the shocking truth is that many have no idea when they are entering into one.

At this point, I think the best solution is to just go ahead and take the pills like the guy said to.

Actually sounds like your friend has a virus on their PC, that uses his IM client to send out messages. My kids have some thing similar on their pc right now, I just have'nt taken the time to fix it yet. It sends out messages with links to people off the list of the user. I "don't" believe it is a hacker. Just my thoughts.

This has happened to tons of people on my Yahoo friends list that don't take proper care of their PCs. The problem is almost certainly their end and you don't need to worry. Unless you followed the link, ordered some of that rubbish and started taking them. In which case, you have bigger problems

I agree. You should only have issues if you follow the link.
