hi
my friend is a C# developer, he can produce WinFormss or Console applications,
Windows services , etc. He's using fiverr to sell his services, unfortunately, he doesn't earn as much as he wants from this, so how can he make more money ?

Just like what Williams said above...

Elance and oDesk would be my recommendation. Coders with the skills your friend has is always in high demand and he could charge a good fee for his services, either hourly or on a project by project basis.

    Cheers.

    Hmmm... what a shocker!

Seriously though... what was he expecting from a $5 marketplace? Even if he busts his tail and does 10-20 orders a day, that's still chump change for a programmer!

If he wants to make decent money as a freelance programmer (and not burn himself out in the process), then he needs to forget about Fiverr, and go freelance at places like Guru.com, Elance, etc, where there are plenty of 4 and 5 figure jobs to bid on. Of course, you don't just go there and start picking up jobs like that without lots of good feedback / reputation. So he will have to pay his dues and work himself up to that level. But it's there for the taking, if he's good and he doesn't mind putting in the required work to get there.

Another option is to forget freelancing altogether and develop/market your own software programs. I like that option much better than freelancing, personally, but it's not for everyone. You have to be good at programming AND marketing to do well with that business model (or have a partner who is good at whatever you're not).
